France probes 'cannibalism' case (1 Viewer)

Interesting. The man kills another man with a plastic bag, and it's nothing but an afterthought - a trivial detail. Then, once the man is dead, the killer eats pieces of his body. Somehow, that is not only worse, but is the only real crime the killer committed...what?

I've always felt detached from my culture in this way. I just can't understand how just because something is so horrendously gross we can barely think about it with without flinching that it has to be wrong and evil. Would I be evil if I drank from the toilet?

I'm not stupid. I realize the cannibalism is being emphasized over the murder here because it makes better news, but the reason it makes better news is because people think it's worse. Who cares if you kill someone? - just make sure you avoid committing any victimless behaviors arbitrarily considered culturally unacceptable in the process.
