A Fox News national poll released Thursday finds that 78 percent of voters think the questions over the administration’s handling of the terrorist attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi should be taken seriously. Just 17 percent call it a phony scandal.
The attack, on the anniversary of September 11, killed four Americans -- including the U.S. ambassador.
Meanwhile, 69 percent of voters say the National Security Agency’s electronic surveillance of everyday Americans is serious, while 26 percent call that a fake scandal.
By a margin of 59-31 percent, voters are also more likely to view the seizure of reporters’ phone records by the Justice Department as serious rather than phony.
And while the White House sees a Congressional investigation of the IRS targeting of conservative groups as a “distraction,” 59 percent of voters take it seriously. Some 33 percent agree with the administration that it’s fake.

‘Outrageous’: IRS Agent Stuns Members of Congress With Claim About Targeting Scandal | TheBlaze.com

Soon enough these biased tyrants will be throwing one another under the bus until someone is held responsible for these "phony scandals."

There is waaaay too much evidence and the progressive media is doing their best along with the White House to sweep it under the rug by preventing readers from having access to this evidence while laughing these scandals off..... Of course the zombies buy it hook-line-n-sinker.

They wont let facts get in their way - no no.....

Exactly, and members on this board in large numbers believe the lies....or, just simply ignore them because they want them to be true....

There's a difference between "Fox News Watchers" and "Americans" in that while most Fox News Watchers are American, most Americans are not Fox News Watchers.

Also you guys know the election is past right? Polls have even less meaning now than they did than, it doesn't matter how popular or unpopular Obama is, he's still the President until his term expires in 2017. I wish we could all focus less on polls and more on issues.

I read it and was contemplating posting it but the liberal hacks on the forum would have ridiculed it from being from the Blaze with their lame attempt to distract and discredit
but the good news the majority of the American public is not buying the liberal lies this time, I believe they finally woke up and are realizing liberalism is nothing but lies

I take this poll with a grain of salt like I do most polls (most are based on demographics) but that doesn't mean these scandals aren't "real."

I'm sure if they did a poll at MSNBC most would say these scandals are "phony."

Until FOX News stops being the propaganda arm for the GOP, I really can't be arsed to give a **** what they or their viewership think (or more realistically, react cuz lord knows, there's not a whole lot of thinking goin on, but they sure do have the knee jerk reactions down pat.)

The Fox News poll is based on landline and cell phone interviews with 1,007 randomly chosen registered voters nationwide and was conducted under the joint direction of Anderson Robbins Research (D) and Shaw & Company Research (R) from August 3 to August 5. The full poll has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus three percentage points.

it wasn't a online or call in poll from Fox news watchers. I know reading is hard but if you would have done so you would not be pulling your foot out of your mouth

they would have just like i had to correct Skeys and Wiseone thinking the Poll was with only Fox news watchers. when the fact is Fox news uses a democrat and a republican firm to do the polls with over a thousand samples randomly selected using land and cell phone lines

Ahhhh the smell of right wing rant early in the morning!

The poll doesn't ask if any of the issues rise to the level of say Watergate or Iran/Contra like the right wingnuts are constantly trying to claim-(is it just me but both of those right wing scandals are our benchmark for scandals) it simply asked if there are unanswered questions, needs more investigation- but doesn't attach the label scandal...

And then the classic attempt to attach those claiming there isn't a scandal to 'birthers' and 9-11 tinfoil hatted folks as if they have the same numbers and are as much a part of the fringe...

Last poll I saw was in 2011 and had less than 10% of Americans believing President Obama was born in a foreign country.

I'd say the fool is on the right wingnut foot... :2wave:

Oh, I thought they did a reader poll......

Either way I think polls are garbage..... I suppose in this instance they have it right given the evidence...

I didn't bother to read the posed link in the op (sorry) because I thought you were pointing to the Fox News poll that was up on their site yesterday...

Either way I don't think the general public is informed enough to have an opinion on the issue considering democrats who are allegedly informed are ignoring the evidence for obviously partisan reasons...

One of the questions was this: "For each of the following, please tell me whether you think it’s a situation that should be taken seriously or if it’s more of a phony scandal: The Obama administration’s handling of the terrorist attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya that resulted in the deaths of four Americans." Your only options are "It should be taken seriously" or "It's a phony scandel" or "I don't know."

Talk about a loaded question, first off the question makes the claim that its Obama's administration's handling of the terrorist attack that resulted in four dead Americans, it doesn't place the blame on the hands of the attackers but rather the President. Secondly, what about people like me think that we should take things like Benghazi seriously but also that the "scandel" about it is just a bunch of hot air being blown around by Republicans looking to play politics and avoid work? How should I answer? Well given the two I'd probably pick it should be taken seriously.

Now where this gets really stupid is where Fox News or someone like "Trjr" comes in and says "A-ha because only 17 percent of people said it was a phony scandel, that means 83 percent of people think its a real scandel" when in fact that may not be the case at all but because of the way the poll constrains the possible responses. And what is a scandel exactly anyway? If I said that Benghazi is a scandel that may mean I think the President is wrong in his handling of the situation OR it may mean that I think that a scandel exists in that I acknowledge that many people find what happened scandelous but I personally don't.

You can't place people into just one of two positions, the world isn't as simple as black and white. Sorry but this poll is completely meaningless.

Who cares what people think... The only thing that matters is the evidence and the evidence supports the fact that these scandals are extremely valid...

You have to go out of your way to find this evidence because the progressive MSM is doing their best to hide it, and I don't see progressives seeking the truth so.....

Peoples opinions are moot, the facts count.

These scandals make Watergate look charming.......

Dude I'm sorry but when you talk about facts all I can think about its how you went on for 10 pages in a topic talking about how the facts clearly show that gravity determines our time zones, you have no basis whatsoever to talk about what facts are.

Of course because those facts don't jibe with what you want to believe.....

You're obviously not concerned with truth, you're concerned with political gang banging...... To you consensus is truth enough - never mind the facts...

So if Jay Carney and his man-crush Obama say "these scandals are phony" and leave it at that - that is truth enough for you....

BTW, here's your facts....

We know how reliable faux news polling is after they completely predicted the landlside victory Mittens had over obama in the last election. Seems to me like this is just another faux news self delusion. I would beware, faux can screw up a sure thing, and with their help Obama might just get a third term.

Ahhh, another baseless claim of falsehood. Another clinton presidency with hillary is just what the republican party needs after 2 Obama terms. The psychological damage done to them and the whining will be awesome. Keep up those delusions, I would love to see another rove election night freak out when the polls turn out to be so wrong yet again. Don't believe your own press, especially when you are the ones making it up.

A 3rd of Americans believe in bigfoot.
A fifth of Americans believe the mood landing was a hoax.
51% of Americans in a 2004 study believed in creationism
64% of Americans believe that Aliens have contacted humans (1997 poll).

The fact you seem to take opinion polls on subject matters that most people barely pay attention to as "fact" is ridiculous
