Fox News Internal Memo (1 Viewer)

H

hipsterdufus

Here's more proof that Faux isn't a news channel at all, just some partisan hacks.

A memo from 2 days after the election was leaked showing how Fox planned to spin the election.

My guess is "attack the messanger" is the response to this story.

FOX NEWS INTERNAL MEMO: "Be On The Lookout For Any Statements From The Iraqi Insurgents...Thrilled At The Prospect Of A Dem Controlled Congress"...

Surprise, surprise. NOT. Fox is run by a bunch of losers with no morals.

Hipster: Help me. Which parts of the memo are partisan? The concession that the Senate is now 51-49? Saying that the Rumsfeld resignation is a major event? The part about looking to see if al-Queda celebrates, which they did? Having Jim Angle do a live shot? Insisting that the war on terror is not over? Continuing to ask what the Democrat plan for Iraq is? I'm confused, aps, which part is immoral?

Sure: It's the blatant partisanship stating that the loss of the elections and Rumsfeld's resignation isn't "The end of the world" Imagina a memo from ABC Disney or NBC-GE saying as much.

Also, imagine the MSM calling Bush a Chickenhawk and Cheney a "hack". - The Right Wing Noise Machine would EXPLODE

One other point is that the memo calls for it's "reporters" to search for Iraqi's happy that Dems won the election - not for them to ask Iraqi's on the strreet how they feel, but to procede with the Fauxian supposition that Iraqis are "dancing in the streets" because the Dems won.

Pure propaganda - all of it. Straight from Faux Newz' VP

What ever happened to peoples personal papers remaining personal?

Wait a minute.... You actually expect anybody with more than two connected braincells to believe that this is real w/o some form of confirmation. It's from Huffington's online liberal hatefest site, for crying out loud. She'd put up a bad Photoshop of President Bush kissing Bin Laden's feet if somoone would send it her. I'll wait and see if this is a fake or real. If I was a betting man, I'd put it on "fake".

It's probably real, and I don't see a thing wrong with it, I actually think it just makes leftists like Huffington look all the more hypocritical, I guess privacy is only reserved for liberals and socialists like her.

The Patriot Act happened. "Be careful what you wish for...."

Wow, you amaze me. It is incredible how partisan some people can be. She was a conservative that was intellectually honest enough to realize that republicans didn't represent her. She quit apologizing for the republicans way before it was en vogue. She has vision that most lemmings don't. With that said, you call her names like liberal, leftist, and socialist. If that isn't partisan, I don't know what is.

LOL, conservative, her husband was conservative, then she decided to redistribute his wealth, and no, she is a flaming socialist, I don't know where you get "conservative"

I don't like the woman, that has nothing to do with "partisan", and everything to do with her comments, i.e this gem, "Who needs bumper stickers when you have IED's" Now you can defend this twat till you're blue in the face, I will continue to expose this woman for the scum she is!

I think her point was that IED's are more effective at influencing campaigns than bumper stickers are. True she is no longer a conservative. She is a populist. At least you didn't play the Jumpin' Jim Jeffords card. :2wave:

Well what is your take on this.................

"FOX NEWS INTERNAL MEMO: "Be On The Lookout For Any Statements From The Iraqi Insurgents...Thrilled At The Prospect Of A Dem Controlled Congress"...

I don't see anything wrong with exploring this angle, the terrorists themselves did come out and declare that we made a wise choice in our recent election. What is wrong with this, I mean you seem perfectly content with IED's effecting campaigns, what's the problem with this memo, I just don't get it?

The only thing I see here is some partisan dumpster divers, trying desperately to smear Fox once again, it's getting very tiresome.

I think the point is that we expect terrorists to have an agenda. A news organization that claims to be fair and balanced shouldn't have one beyond reporting the news--reporting news that makes one side look bad while neglecting news that might mitigate that effect is clearly not fair and balanced. Indeed, it's unfair and unbalanced.

Perhaps you should study George Orwell for a reason to think that any source of information that says one thing and does the exact opposite is bad. "The war was always with East Asia..."

Well good luck finding that on cable news, or anywhere for that matter in this country, with the exception of PBS, it just does not exist. CNN is a lapdog for the Dems, and Fox has found a nitch in conservative viewers, but an educated person knows he can find the truth by reading between the lines, we are far from this Orwellian society some constantly point to, it's actually a tired argument, I get sick of hearing about it honestly!

Hipster calls it again! "Attack the messanger"

Faux is well known for this top down approach: documented by numerous sources.

At least they'll be giving OJ primo airtime during sweeps.

:rofl The most liberal guy on CNN is REPUBLICAN Jack Cafferty.

What sort of raging liberal, Howard Dean fantasy scream movie are you living in, lol?:rofl

Wolf Blitzer grew another three inches, (t00 much) Candy Crowley lost ten pounds in her effort to trip all over the much hyped Foley story, and the rest of the crew couldn't stop telling us how "broken" our government was. Where are those stories today? No, looks like a bright new day, like these same Dems were not even there, like this was all just a bad dream, LOL, please, grow up sir!:spin:

The OJ thing will be on the Fox Network, not Fox News.

Why didn't they stop at "Be On The Lookout For Any Statements From The Iraqi Insurgents"? Why did they search for one specific opinion? To be objective you have to let the news be the news. You can't be "exploring angles". Just report the statements, no matter what opinion they have.

"Exploring angles" and "Fair and Balanced" don't go together. To be "Fair and Balanced" you have to be objective, not fishing for predetermined conclusions.

Dee, De-Dee! Where did I say that I was content with IED's affecting campaigns? I didn't. I stated the fact that they are more effective. I didn't espouse an opinion about the morality of IED's. Nice try, smear merchant.

Way to feign outrage! Fox smears themselves, maybe that is what is so tiresome. :rofl

Does anyone else see the irony that the story originated from the Huffington Post? The stones on those people to call someone else on media bias.

Once again Hipster calls it - Attack the messanger.

The difference here TOT is that Faux has the audicity to call themselves a news organization. :rofl
And do you know what's even funnier? Some people actually think they are!

Right. I saw it in Baghdad. "Webb for Senate"

What terrorists came out in support of the Dems?
Link Please! The only time I heard that mentioned was some hack on Faux Newz parroting a talking point dictated from on high....

How is this memo different than anyother internal memo exactly? What do you think that CNN doesn't tell its soldiers to go after certain stories and pursue certain positions? Further; the Huffington post likes to consider itself a news-blog. As for attacking the messenger that's rich considering that the messenger in this case is based on a foundation of attacks and character assasinations.

Sure thing:

Calling Mr. Bush a "coward" and the "most stupid president" in history, the al Qaeda leader also said, "The American people have put their feet on the right path by ... realizing their president's betrayal in supporting Israel. So they voted for something reasonable in the last elections."

In neighboring Iran, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei also expressed satisfaction with the Democratic gains in the U.S. vote, calling them a boon for Tehran.

"The issue in these elections was not a purely domestic issue for America, but it is the defeat of Bush's hawkish policies in the world," the Iranian leader said in remarks to the ISNA news agency.

"Since Washington's hostile and hawkish policies have always been against the Iranian nation, this defeat is actually an obvious victory for the Iranian nation," the hard-line cleric added.
