Fox News calls Mr. Rogers an evil man

I knew ever before opening the clip that it was the Fox n' Friends 'tards. Who are they blaming for growing up to be so idiotic and stupid?

I love it!

“the Breitbart treatment” — definition to be lied about shamelessly, to be smeared.

How deliciously ironic that Fox News could even conceivably be the victim of “the Breitbart treatment.”

To my knowledge, they didn't.

....If you needed further proof as to how wacko Fox News is.....along come this.

Are they serious. They try to argue that because Mr. Rogers told kids that they were special for just being who they are.....that Mr. Rogers is responsible for a nation of young adults who don't think they have to work to achieve anything in life.

The funny thing is.....they actually take themselves serious here. Talk about complete cuckoo.:cuckoo:

Did you know that Mr. Rogers was a Presbyterian minister? Which brings me to ask the following question:

Why does FOX News hate Christians?

To quote from Mr. Roger's parenting book...

"In fact, one of the best feelings in the world is being proud of what you've learned after you've worked hard to learn it. If we can help children think of hard work as a different kind of fun, they're more likely to find the energies to keep on working and trying and discovering the joy in accomplishing something that took great effort."

And Mr. Roger's take on what he meant by his sign off saying...

"This is what I give. I give an expression of care every day to each child, to help him realize that he is unique. I end each program by saying, 'You've made this day a special day by just your being you. There's no person in the whole world like you."

The bastard!!

Seriously, with morning shows you are supposed to have likable people but does anybody else just want to push these people down the stairs? I tried to watch the entire clip and it was just unbearable. Shame on them and whatever crappy hackney study they dug up for even musing the idea that Mr. Rogers was bad for anybody.

I watched this clip, and I too would by this as a parody of the study if they weren't acting like they were serious at times. To the study, calling Mr Rogers a evil man for saying that we kids were special just the way we are, and to work hard for themselves as well as others around them makes you lazy then me driving an old lady around just because I think its the right thing to do makes me a socialist so be it...

Just watched the clip. It was a lighthearted segment semi-mocking a recently released study/paper by a university professor. Nobody on the show was trying to to convey that "rogers was evil".....

But it's still always fun to bash Fox. And that is the important part...!!! ;)

.

I look at all the folks on Fox as being special.

this was just a comlpete wast of time..... complete!!!!

Fox News didnt say that about him. They are REPORTING on a study. Is this more BS propaganda?

Yes, anything to degrade Fox News. This goes back to the whole "Payola" thread I have open.

Disney - are you now or have you ever been paid to post things such as these claims on the internet?

Penn & Teller had an episode about self-esteem this season on their show Bull****! It might be worth watching since it's slightly related to this thread.

Penn and teller also degraded someone far better than them, Maddox of best webpage in the universe so **** them.

I think it would have made more sense for you to call out the professor that started this ball rolling rather than latch onto reporters who discussed it

Blame It on Mr. Rogers: Why Young Adults Feel So Entitled - WSJ.com

What these people don't realize is that being 'special' or feeling good about yourself does *not* *ever* excuse you from having to work to support yourself or cut your own way through life.

These two circles of function and thought process aren't related at all. I don't see the connection he's trying to make, here. Just because I tell my children's they're unique or awesome doesn't mean they shouldn't study for the test and none of them have ever taken it that way, either.

I watched Mr Rogers and didn't come away feeling that I could be lazy and just have everything given to me.
