Former Subway spokesman Jared Fogle to plead guilty to child pornography charges

This guy is one sick puppy.

When you look at his picture and think about it, he does look kinda pervy.

Very disappointing and disgusting revelations.

I'd bet the farm that there was a stash of kiddie pics on his computer.

it is highly possible, but confessions and evidence presented in court determines that, not hearsay.

long ago it used to be quite common to hand people for accusations, and alot of innocent people would be hanged for being a horse theif or whatever the crime then later found innocent.people pre determine in their own minds who is guuilty long before evidence proves or disproves their beliefs.

You must really dig Subway.

no i just did not buy an article about hearsay that the guy would plead guilty without much testimonial or proof.him pleading guilty would be what i will buy,or it determined in court.

What part of "expected to plead guilty" do you not understand?

Jared Fogle expected to plead guilty in child porn case - CNN.com

He's expected to admit he's guilty.

How bad would the evidence against you have to be for you to plead guilty to something of that nature?
This has, and will ruin his life forever. Why plead guilty if he's innocent?
What incentive would anyone have in trying to frame him of something like that?

in your link, law enforcement said he was expected to plead guilty, but no comment from him or from his lawyer, which is hearsay.

fyi if your link is correct, the two law enforcement officials should have kept their mouths shut,as saying anything to the public for an ongoing trial or investigation could easily land them in trouble.further even slight misteps have been used in the past for guilty people to walk away with no punishment.

If the article is correct and the U.S. Attorney’s Office does hold a press conference to discuss the deal and charges against Fogle it may answer some questions.

Since Fogle's attorney didn't come out and say his client was innocent of any charges I think things aren't looking too good for him.

i would not argue they are looking good for him,but again it is not concrete evidence,if he is guilty and the court has concrete evidence or the doj, they were in the wrong for saying anything,as they should have kept their mouths shut until he plead guilty.if he pleads guilty like they expect, they could have easily waited until then, instead of throwing him under the bus before evidence trials and plea bargains come into play.

According to the indictment there was not only child porn on his computer but also actual sexual encounters with minors for money. He is pleading guilty. That's not a "confession." That's admission of guilt in a court of law.

No matter how despicable the act there is always someone to defend the culprit on this forum.

I'm hoping he has not read the actual indictment and plea deal.

Under the plea deal, the government agrees to recommend less than 13 years in prison for Fogle.

Also, Fogle’s lawyers agree to ask the judge for no less than a 5-year prison term.

The agreement says Fogle will adhere to a pornography ban and sexual disorders treatment, and he will have no unsupervised visits with minors, among other requirements.

He will also pay $1.4 million to his victims.

He must be guilty. If somebody accused me of something this ugly and I was innocent, I would be screaming my head off. Fogel is strangely quiet.

I suspect he will be eating lots of foot longs in prison.

I hope Mr. Fogel is kept in protective custody. Things will get very ugly for him, very quick in general population.

I suspect he will be eating lots of foot longs in prison.

Not the kind that contain calories though. So his weight won't increase.;) Nah, he won't be among the other inmates. It wouldn't be safe for him.

If he's quietly copping a plea, he's guilty as sin.

This guy looked creepy to me from day one, but I thought he was just some sort of loner or something. Turns out he's quite the pervert. Just a little odd that he would pay a 17 year old minor for sex and commit a crime instead of going for someone a year older. But, I guess 17 was a little old for what he wanted, and he really wanted younger. Yuk!

I hear Fogle is going to do commercials for NAMBLA.

well that quote was for past tense pruposes, they had it on npr.i did not hear anything about him being charged with child pornagrophy, but the sex with minors seems to be the thing he can not fight at all, even though the evidence shown strongly around 16-17 years old.

in most states 16+ is a different charge from having sex with someone below 16,but still holds a penalty, especially since even though the fed does not mandate age of consent,it does have laws on pornagraphy, and individual states set age, where the lowest is 14 i believe it was new york, but with restrictions on age gap.no state allows prostitution with anyone under 18 and only one state even has prostitution legal.

Yep. The age of consent in states where it is below 18 does not apply when it involves sex for sale. Ditto for the sexually explicit photos the girl sent him which the feds found on his computer. Another problem was him writing emails to her asking her to procure for him, for a fee, other girls under age 18.

BTW: he is also being charged with having pornographic images of children on his computer. Some of these images involved children as young as six, IIRC.

i was not aware of the images,as until yesterday no information evidence or charges was released, making it hearsay.yesterday they released charges against him.

either way images and porn of minors is still not an epic offense in this country, anywhere from registering as a sex offender to a few years in jail, unless they can prove he produced or distributed it,in which he would likely never see the free world.the feds punish posession, but absolutely drop the hammer on production and distribution.

it is highly possible if he did have child pornagraphy that could be proven to him,the plea bargain may have been to stop prosecutors from digging further which may have dug up something worth more than a mild sentence.

On one occasion in the fall of 2012, the documents state, Fogle hired a 17-year-old girl for sex and brought her to the Plaza Hotel where he was staying as a guest. Rooms at the iconic hotel start at more than $430 per night.

The following day, he texted the teenage escort offering to pay her a finder’s fee if she could procure for him an underage girl for sex, saying, 'the younger, the better.'

According to the court filings, Fogle also approached other escorts from Virginia, Missouri and Nevada asking to connect him to minors as young as 14 and 15, but only after having sex with them to make sure they were not undercover police officers.

Documents seized as part of the investigation into the former executive, Russell Taylor, claim Fogle bragged to a business colleague about having 'amazing' sex with a 16-year-old girl.

Real swell guy.

He was so sloppy that it almost sounds like one of those criminals that wish to get caught.

5 to 13 years in prison and $1.4 M in restitution seems to be the deal his lawyers and the prosecutors worked out.
