Too bad the hot blond with big tits is now seen as maga.

Oh, come on.

Could it be a coincidence?

People choose the weirdest hills to die on, I swear. If I absolutely loved a piece of clothing from American Eagle I'd buy it. Who cares if their marketing team is stupid and unoriginal? It's not like 10% of their proceeds go to the Holocaust Deniers Association of America or something.

I don't think this is the end of AE. But you seem happy that an American business may be having troubles?

Good! Will not bother me if they go bust. When you worry more about some cuckoo social agenda instead of sound business practices, you deserve to reap what you sew.
That was you about Bud lite. *I'm* making fun of maga attaching itself to this woman and sales dropping. I thought it was funny. You sound like you were thrilled bud lite, an American business, was having trouble.

She does have good genes though

Bud is actually owned by a European company I believe

Since we have no other relevant context? Sure.

Did sales drop? We don't know.
Did profitability drop? We don't know.
Has traffic been low for weeks or months? We don't know.
Did they raise prices lately?
Is consumer spending generally dropping?

All we have is one foot traffic report from an agency I've never heard of, and you probably haven't either. I wouldn't make too much of this type of breathless reporting.

I don't think I've been to an AE since like 2006.

So am I to understand that you are comparing the drop to the advertisement and publicity? Starting a year year back, the stock had already dropped from around $21 to around $10. Out comes the ad an the controversy, and the stock is above $12.

It appears you are trying to claim the ad hurt them. It clearly had nothing to do with the drop and clearly the stock went up after the release of the ad.Is the a point to your thread?

Another BS source. Nobody believes anything the left says.

I guess you are thrilled with the big traffic numbers South Park is turning in this season.

If traffic is down its more likely tariff driven.AE customers are not particularly political.

Hypocrisy is your defuning characterstic.

It's a matter of choice. If people don't like the promotion, don't buy the product. Conservatives need to do more of this.

Bud light should hope they don't get sued by share holders for a deliberate negligence in opperating the business by creating a 25% drop in value because of "social Justice" decisions that have nothing to do with business but ruin the stock.

Woke goes Broke. Crazy progressives running companies.

I'm thinking foot traffic is down for most retailers outside of necessities. Not sure I would try to make the "correlation is causation" argument just yet.

Because the regime media told them to.

The jeans are likely made in China so Americans are boycotting the store.

I don’t think middle aged fat white guys are the typical AE buyer

18 to 30 year olds yes
Im not fat but I like their jeans and underwear.

This whole topic is stupid

Foot traffic down 9% at American Eagle following Sydney Sweeney ad controversy...

Meh.

Correlation, or causation?

Silly bit of histrionics, regardless. I watched the ad on youtube and the only thing I took from it was that AE suggested Sweeny has good genes because she's attractive, and she's wearing good jeans (double entendre). Not some clueless (or worse) sinister promotion of eugenics.
