"US President Donald Trump says his sweeping tariffs on most of the world will create
jobs in the US, boost the American economy and bolster Washington's tax revenues.
But some experts have warned that they could also push exporters towards other

Agricultural brokers tell the BBC there has been a surge of interest from exporters in trade with China.
Only natural for exporters to look to develop new markets but tariffs have given most a huge impetus to move from supplying the US and looking instead to growing economies elsewhere.
The idea of developing home reliance seems a good one but American coffee suppliers have already explained that it's highly impractical to try and grow coffee in the US and prawns are in short supply due to overfished waters. What we will see (as many economists predicted) is the American buyer paying more for their goods and for example their cups of coffee - even Walmart has stated that it cannot continue to swallow the import costs and will start raising prices for American shoppers.
