(Reuters) - An ex-business partner of Michael Flynn, U.S. President Donald Trump’s former national security adviser, was charged with undisclosed lobbying aimed at ensuring the extradition to Turkey of a Muslim cleric living in the United States.

Flynn’s former partner, Bijan Rafiekian, was indicted on two criminal counts in the Eastern District of Virginia, including conspiracy to act as an agent of a foreign government, according to an indictment unsealed on Monday.
He was said to be involved in the conspiracy to smuggle the Turkish cleric Gulen living in PA back to Turkey. Has nothing to do with the Mueller probe. Charge: failure to register as an agent of a foreign power (Turkey).
^^ This is something Flynn (and potentially his son) avoided by taking a plea deal with Mueller.

Trump is still working hard to get Gulen deported without the due process afforded to him as a Green Card holder. Anything to placate another strongman, Erdogan. Trump loves these autocrats.
