The tax exempt status is interesting. Do they have rides?
I have only one question to ask about the "Holy Land Theme Park for Christians" - Well, maybe 2.
1) Since they are supposed to be spreading the Gospel, do you have to pay to get in?
2) If someone cannot afford to pay admission, will he or she be turned away?
If you think about those 2 questions, then you can only come to the conclusion that this theme park is not Godly at all, but an entity that is in business to make money - To wit: They are whoring God, which is quite an unchristian thing to do. Jesus has quite a lot to say on this subject. Read the part in the Bible about the moneychangers at the Temple.
Article is here.
What about the smaller booths??
Chuck a small spear through a hole in the side of Jesus, and you win a stuffed Peter doll.
Wait, they charge admission AND are tax exempt?
Add this to the list of reasons why I am against organized religion......

So what is everyone's beef? Looks like a religious teaching experience. Most people can't travel to those areas, this gives them a taste of it.

AH! Or toss the crown of thorns on his head!
I don't have a beef. I just think when you charge $30-40 bucks for admission and you have gift shops selling jewelry, tees, handbags and what not you sort of crossed over into the business world and the tax exempt status becomes a little laughable. I realize they claim they' aren't making a profit currently but eventually they might. I guess I'm jaded and find it hard to believe that the guy who came up with a park where Jesus will be crucified at specific showtimes all week long all year long wasn't thinking of $$$.
How about a ride like... Descent into HELL! Now that would be fun. Especially if they incorporated Dante and had like 9 different levels of the ride.
Or, they could have a Fall of the Heathens ride. Where you start off up real high and just drop into a dark pit of "flames". Those drop rides are always fun.
They should hire me.

What does one have to do with the other? Many tax-exempt non-profit entities charge for whatever they are doing. If I donate to a local non-profit church run hospital I can deduct that from my taxes. I buy lobsters from a local orphanage every year that they sell to raise money, if I send them a donation I can deduct that on my taxes.
I have a problem with it being tax exempt. They are in this for a profit
, and because of that, it shouldn't be tax exempt. You don't make an amusement "Jesus" park and not plan on making a profit.
