Well of course there Mr Sheriff. Tennessee likes the way you think

--------------------

Homeowners under attack by a burglar don't need to retreat or try to escape but rather stand their ground, and, if necessary, use deadly force. This is what a Florida sheriff told residents.

Santa Rosa County Sheriff Bob Johnson told residents they're "more than welcome" to shoot burglars at a Thursday press conference after a crazed man went on a home invasion spree in the northwestern portion of the Sunshine State.

We could totally be badasses by living vicariously through this.

If a gun owner needs to be told to shoot, they shouldn't be one. This is just more Florida Man, with death.

Wait.. Government loves to tell people when to do things. In this case the good sheriff is just reminding people.

By reporting a Florida sheriff encourages citizens to pop melons if they break in?
They definitely know their audience and know that you guys would get all worked up about this. Bunch of old , right wingers are now fantasizing about shooting intruders.

I live in Los Angeles.

No public official would ever give such advice.

Too bad.

If homeowners knew that the law was on their side when these horrible predators have the gall to break into one's home, they would shoot a lot more of them, and this would be a safer and happier place.

People in Florida are lucky to have stand-your-ground laws.

There are a lot of really, really, really dangerous individuals there. And here.

How many people have you shot from your basement?

the good sheriff? ok, so what was your position on those 2 inbred nutcases that shot Amaud Arbery? How about those three here in South Carolina that just shot up a family of 5 in their car?

What about them?
he is encouraging people to just shoot people that they 'think' are doing something wrong. If someone is in your home, yes you can shoot them, if you are certain they are a burglar and not your daughter sneaking in after curfew. There is a million things that can go wrong with the just shoot em strategy

I know two people, one a very close friend, who almost shot their wife, or their son, because they thought that someone was breaking into their homes. Thankfully, they realized who they were aiming at before they pulled the trigger. The mother got rid of her gun after that. Don't think it won't happen if people take literally what this sheriff said.

They were not home invasion victims or in that sheriff’s jurisdiction.

That’s not what he meant. He is just reminding citizens if an intruder breaks into your home you are within your legal right to take the top of their head off.

And it is incredibly stupid to attempt a head shot in a situation like that. You know that, right?

The way the left has allowed crime to get out of control, it's needed to inform the public that they have the right to defend one's self, property, and family, especially upon your own property. There is nothing wrong under the sun to protect what's yours.....shoot the lowlifes.

in Florida you don't have to be a home invasion victim for force to be used. Like I said, when someone shoots their kid sneaking in after curfew, then what?

the left? The county in question....is red.

Then that’s a tragedy. What else would you call it?

So the words put in quotes are false? He didn't say that?
