Looks like Marco Rubio's bible passages and conspiracy theories didn't stop the blue wave from hitting Florida.

More than three days after the polls closed in Florida, the secretary of state announced on Saturday afternoon that the razor-thin races for governor, senator and agriculture commissioner will be reviewed in a series of recounts.

According to unofficial results filed by the counties, Republican Gov. Rick Scott leads incumbent Democratic Sen. Bill Nelson by more than 12,500 votes, or about .15%. The spread in the governor's race is larger, with Republican former Rep. Ron DeSantis ahead of Democratic Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum by nearly 34,000 votes, for a lead of .41%. In the narrowest contest, Democratic agriculture commissioner Nikki Fried's advantage stands at 5,326 votes — just .06% — over Republican Matt Caldwell.

Perhaps you are unaware, but the guys who are leading going into the recount are republicans.

Florida has been controlled by Republicans for decades and they control the elections and who wins. It always takes extraordinary measures to extract Democratic votes when elections are close. The Republicans don't like to lose and always make sure GOP counties are reported first. If there is any fraud involved you can look to those in control.

The Republicans "won" on Tuesday, now there are enough votes to call for a recount b/c it was within the margin of error the Republicans originally created. :lamo. I believe Rick Scott was the point person on that, but I'm not positive.

OK So I guess it was like a blue flood.

Do you have a point in there somewhere?

So what does a recount have to do with your nonsensical OP? And in an election this close, there should be a recount. So what is your point?

UH. That's the topic of the thread.... The recount has been called. You should figure out what's going on before posting

Terrific. Now how does that tie into a 'blue wave hitting Florida?'

Who do you think hid all those ballots in a Democratic district? It certainly was not a Democrat.

Wait. You think some republican hid those ballots? You cant be serious.

Some councils as in Broward county moved their polling places into gated communities. There's a novel way of vote suppression.

There weren't as many votes on Tuesday. Senate could now be 53-47 after recount. No HUGE win there... I mean you're not even trying at this point.

There was no blue wave that is why they are trying their best to cheat now!

What blue wave in Florida? Election results solidify state as Trump country

If the election was a referendum on Trump — and he inserted himself into the election with every opportunity — Florida is solidly Trumpland, at least for now.

The classic definition of a wave election applies only to the house of representatives. A wave election occurs when one party or the other has a net gain of 30 plus seats and regains control of the house which they didn't have prior to the election. the current count is 226 democrats, 200 republicans with 9 seats still not called. That is a net gain of 31 seats by the Democrats which constitutes a blue wave election.

Florida is a case unto itself. It's way too easy in very close elections to manipulate the results into something different than the actual results. Our counting methods and the ability to find lost ballots has left us open to election fraud in which either party will do whatever it takes to get the results it wants.

It's not interference and manipulation from Russia we should be most concerned about, it is from our own two major parties.

Who said there was a 'big win?' Im still not sure what the hell it is you are trying to say.

How could they know, without counting all the votes?

That's what's getting me about this.

The Republicans - via the Sec'y of State - control the election. They run it efficiently in their Republican areas, but hamper and impede it in Democratic areas. Then they claim the Democratic areas can't meet the deadline they impose, so they stop counting! WTF?

The obvious answer is that they don’t want to count the votes because they don’t want the Democratic canididates to possibly receive more votes in a very tight election.

Of course. It's now a third-world freaking election!

Patrick Murphy, a sitting Senator, had his absentee ballot suppressed by the Rick Scott administration. He wouldn't have known had he not checked himself, there's no duty to inform.

"Invalid signature match" indeed!

The Republicans whine bitterly about illegal votes everywhere, but hate the idea of double-checking the vote. Why would that be?
