Florida just reported its highest-ever number of daily COVID-19 cases and has become the new US epicenter

He’s a greeter at Mar A Lago! That’s in Florida, you can visit any time. :)

Be prepared to cheer and applaud! It’s what he expects. Otherwise he will sulk like a spoiled five year old!

Be sure to hand over your credit card as well.

He'll be looking to siphon as much money as possible from you.

That's insidious.... Biden did not have the position of claim to have put a mandate in place. without a mandate he had no control over "ignorant people" who fight against the vaccine.
Geez.....
The rest of your comment does not even deserve a response.
dobieg is trying to seize the opportunity to blame Biden for the Delta surge. Of course he has to resort to lies and gaslighting to do it, but desperate times.......

Joe Biden led everyone to believe he'd have the virus defeated by Jul 4. Today we see he's just your typical lying politician full of bs.

You can try to pretend it's not his fault and blame everyone else but he's the current president who is sitting on his ass while the current variant is spreadin like wildfire.

How the worm has turned.
Last year people were criticizing Trump because he did not encourage people to wear masks. They blamed him for tens of thousands of deaths because he could have made people wear masks when they didn't want. All Trump had to do was tell them and he didn't do it.
Now we have Biden begging people to get vaccinated so more people don't die and 100 million people are reluctant to do so. Every would like to think the president is so powerful all he has to do is ask people to do something and they will naturally do it - because he is the president.
Biden is going to end up paying people 100 dollars to do what they should do in order to avoid getting sick and possibly dying.
What a great country. People are getting money to do something which they should do regardless if they had any common sense at all.

Biden doesn't have much influence over people who think he's not even the President.

The quickest route to victory over this virus is for Trump supporters to tell their political allies to stop promoting anti-vaccination propaganda,

But we all know that's never going to happen because:

LOL ROFL MAGA LOL ROFL MAGA LOL ROFL MAGA BECAUSE "**** YOU THAT'S WHY" LOL ROFL MAGA LOL RFOL MAGA

Good use of primitive anti-Trump talking points.
Good thing I am NOT a Trump supporter.
I simply want the GOP to get their collective heads out of his a$$ and become an important party again.

Since De Santis and other Red State GOP Governors decided that it's the government's business to tell companies how to run their businesses.
Is that like the Biden Administration telling the major social media companies what to censor and declare misinformation?

If you want me to understand your comment you're going to have to tell me how the FL governor is telling companies how to run their businesses.
Yours is a broad statement familiar to those who are afraid of DeSantis as a future GOP leader.

We have to joke and laugh. What else can non-Floridians do about it? And even then, dude was elected. Now what?

So mockery is really all we have left right now. :(

Not true. We also have schadenfreude.

The asshole is trying to dictate to cruise lines how to operate, for one...

Let me know how that is working out for you so far.

(TNS) — Gov. Ron DeSantis kept his promise and signed a bill into law Monday that bars businesses, schools and government entities across Florida from asking anyone to provide proof of a COVID-19 vaccination.

The bill is effective July 1, but DeSantis also on Monday said he would sign an executive order invalidating all remaining local emergency COVID orders that are still in place after July 1 and suspend immediately any orders related to COVID-19 now.
Signed just in time to promote Florida to 1st place in the Delta surge. Great job Ron! You made Florida #1.

It would be great if there is a National Vaccine Mandate; We can't afford to continue to damage society because of the types of people who are pushing denialism.

If they want absurdity, then maybe we should give them the absurdity they seek... such as: stop admitting people to the hospital who have not been vaccinated and tell them to go home and use the Trump remedy of drinking cleaning chemicals. Tell them to call their conspiracy theorist who lead them to deny the vaccine and fight against the mask and let the conspiracy theorist assist them.

More and more business will eventually have to deny these people access or risk more spread that can cause them to loose their business altogether.

Let's see how many people get sick enough to need hospitalization and how many die.
Those are the real numbers we are waiting to see.
That's his bet.

You would have made a good Civil War doctor with your bedside manner.

You missed the part where DeSantis told private companies how to run their businesses.
It's possible that this surge will be less lethal than the previous ones because we know more about how to treat it now. That doesn't make DeSantis' actions any less irresponsible.

And according to the Florida Hospital Association, COVID-19 hospitalizations are nearing last year’s peak.

Florida now has more people hospitalized than any other state.

Dr. Yvonne Johnson, Chief Medical Officer at Baptist South Miami Hospital, said the number of patients in her COVID ward has quadrupled in the past 3 weeks.

“Eighty to eighty-five percent of those people who are hospitalized are unvaccinated. And 100 percent of the people in my IUC are unvaccinated. All those people are suffering unnecessarily.”
It doesn't look good so far.

I've wondered about that a lot. Here's a stat that would be interesting to locate and absorb. Out of all of the Delta cases cramming many, many hospitals since the first case reported at a hospital, how many of those Delta patients are covered by insurance and how many Delta cases aren't covered and with no out of pocket money to pay for their medical treatment? I have wondered how long before overwhelmed hospitals run out of money to provide emergency services to the extremely ill. Especially since year 2020 packed out hospitals with extremely ill Covid-19 patients that financially strangled our nation. Yeah, wait until insurance companies adjust their insurance rates in 2022. o_O

The fact that 99% of hte people going into the hospital are unvaccinated shows you are mistaken.
Why do you think that's relevant?

It doesn't look good so far.
1 in 5 people who are hospitalized are fully vaccinated? That's worse than I thought.

Don't believe all this garbage trying to make it sound like vaccines make you bulletproof, people. Stay safe and be smart. Don't be these people:

And yet again these traitors are working hand in hand with Russian trolls. I am so sick and tired of this. It's time to start arresting people.

Russia’s Anti-Vaccine Propaganda is Tantamount to a Declaration of War

Anyone active on social media is aware that there is a great deal of passionate but ill-founded opposition to vaccination, including to the new COVID-19 vaccines. How could that be? Physicians and the public health establishment are constantly promoting vaccination, especially as we try to stem the tide of the coronavirus pandemic.

It turns out that the anti-vaccine sentiment is the product of what can only be described as an industry whose principal protagonists are an organized group of professional propagandists. As recently reported in the science journal Nature, they are people “running multi-million-dollar organizations, incorporated mainly in the USA, with as many as 60 staff each.”

Moreover, the source of much of the misinformation about vaccines comes from an unobvious source: the Russian government’s propaganda apparatus, which cultivates and exploits foreign anti-vaccine “useful idiots,” causing palpable harm to Americans and citizens of other Western countries.

This is part of a much broader and long-standing pattern of attacks by Russia. As journalist and historian Anne Applebaum wrote last week (March 19th) in The Atlantic:

“For decades now, Russian security services have studied a concept called ‘reflexive control’—the science of how to get your enemies to make mistakes. To be successful, practitioners must first analyze their opponents deeply, to understand where they get their information and why they trust it; then they need to find ways of playing with those trusted sources, in order to insert errors and mistakes. This way of thinking has huge implications for the military; consider how a piece of incorrect information might get a general to make a mistake.”
