For the first time in a general election, Delawareans will be able to vote early in person starting this Friday, October 28th.

14 early voting centers statewide will be open daily from 11:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Hours expand to 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. between November 2nd and November 6th.

"Voters will choose one of the sites, any one of the sites in their county to vote at," Cathleen Hartsky-Carter of the Delaware Department of Elections said. "They just need to bring their ID, sign the poll book, and go ahead and vote on the voting machine. It works almost exactly like election day."

Welcome to a bit more common sense and reason Delaware.

Why is Delaware so racist? I was told that making someone bring identification makes a state the same as the third Reich.

In any event, early voting is really dumb. It opens up the system to all kinds of shenanigans. Like people can cast ballots before candidates even have a debate.

How many debates are planned between now and November 8th?
You wanna take a guess?

Also - how many times has a debate changed your mind on the candidate you were planning to vote for with just 2 weeks left in the process?

Most importantly, not one single person is forced to vote early. It's a choice. An option.
So I guess you just hate Freedom don't you?

If you don’t think you have enough details, then don’t vote early. That is your choice. I voted yesterday. No ID needed. Just gave my name, date of birth and address.

Yadda yadda yadda. I always vote early here in Canada. NO ONE watches our polls. NO ONE protests about early voting. NO ONE contests the results. NO ONE storms our Parliament.
MORE: We have voting stations practically every couple of blocks, whether in poor or rich districts, black or white, or Indigenous.
BUT then again, we Canadians are a civilized people and have less of your ilk. Makes a BIG difference.

Did it ever occur to you some vote Party tickets?

Exactly. If you're going to vote a Party ticket, what more is there to know?

I don’t always vote a party ticket. But what else do I need to know. I know that I don’t want more restrictive voting, abortion laws and no CRT stupidity. That’s all I need to know. The republicans running in my state this term were really extreme. Our republican governor who is serving his last term for whom I voted for in the last election would not even endorse them

Early in life, by circumstance I was fully immersed in the Dem Machine locally. Further into adulthood, I became an Indie. In Presidential elections, I pretty much vacillated between D & R about evenly. Since Obama, I've been all D. There's nothing today at this time, that would ever get me to vote R, not as long as the Party protects Trump.

Maryland?

A reasonable republican governor who knows better than to kiss the ass of the malignant narcissist scumbag piece of shit liar grifter and seditionist. I don't understand the wingnuts who push extreme candidates. Especially in a blue state. My congressional district is quite mixed. The margins of victory are just over 50%. Nancy Hayworth and Sue Kelly won on the republican side and went full tea party wing nut. They couldn't figure out why they lost their next election. We had John Hall of Orleans win and he only lasted one term.

Hogan would probably make a good president, but he does not have a chance in hell. I don’t particularly like Cheney’s politics, but I know that she loves the country more than her party. The rest of the party caters to the right wing nut jobs

I can vote starting tomorrow in NJ. There are 5 locations in my county where I can cast a ballot early (up from one or two last year)

I've gone back and forth also between the parties at all levels and have written in a handful of individuals in my day.

But I won't vote for MAGA candidates in 2022, they've all shown themselves to be complete nut jobs. Like WAY out there nut cases. It is quite amazing to watch actually. I never would have thought that even here in NJ it would get THIS wacky.

That's good, I think!

IMHO, that displays independence & discernment - both good qualities! (y)

MAGA seems to have infected pretty much everywhere.

My metro area is large/urban/dense, one of the largest in the country, with a reputation as a Dem stronghold. Yet MAGA is rampant among some demographics, particularly older, Caucasian, blue-collar. Pretty much every cop/fire-man/city-worker I know is MAGA.

Yeah, but many do not and you know that, and the democrats know that, and they would prefer if many people can cast ballots before negative things like Fettermans brain damage or Hunter Biden’s laptop can escape the control they have of the media.

The democrats completely believe Trump won because of James Comey finding classified info on Wieners laptop and announcing it before the election in 2016, so they are rapidly moving to change voting laws hoping to dupe people into voting as early as possible

The Chinese virus was only a pretext for what they wanted to do, now “democracy” is the pretext. Because democrats, as I’ve said before and will bring up the examples of Prop 8 in California and the WA governors election in 2004, only care about “democracy” when they win, and a defeat of their causes and candidates is actual democracy in their minds, so if they lose the system must be what’s at fault. You see these every major election that party has ever lost where the vote system needs to be changed. They initiated ranked choice voting in Maine, so actual communists could vote for their extremist candidates and fall back on the democrats, purely because they lost an election. They instituted all mail in voting in Washington purely because it was “found ballots” in seattle that “won” them a close governors race, we need to eliminate the electoral college, etc etc etc etc

The democrats are always in favor of using lost elections to change the system when they lose.

Right. They vote in the general. Others, do not.

Well, there was a confluence of events that pushed Trump to a razor thin win over HRC, and Comey indeed was one of them.

Yeah, so like every other major change to the voting system that Democrats either have or say they want to enact, Extended early voting is an effort to rig elections in favor of Democrats. If they get people who might be persuadable to vote for a Republican to vote early before a Democrat corruption scandal is linked to the media, they may be able to pull out an election they would’ve otherwise lost.

Just like ranked choice voting was invented purely because the state of Maine elected a Republican governor multiple times because Sanders style socialists refused to vote for a Democratic candidate. And split the vote.

The more that participate, the more representative the process. Yes, when more vote --> Dem's win. As it should be.

Bullshit.

Provide proof of "rigged lections".

Since none has ever been found, I'm guessing we'll be waiting a long time.

The people/party that's trying to "rig elections" is the conservatives/republicans.
They have also tried very recently to STEAL elections.

By the way @EMNofSeattle , chew on this:

https://www.delawareonline.com/stor...rs-sussex-county-leads-the-polls/69610570007/

More than half of the total number of ballots cast so far during early voting took place in Sussex County, exceeding the number of votes cast in New Castle and Kent counties combined.

As of 11 a.m. on Nov. 1, 17,374 votes have been cast during early voting, which began Oct. 28 and ends Nov. 6, according to state election officials. Election Day is on Nov. 8.

About 52% of those votes were in Sussex County, followed by 32% in New Castle and about 15% in Kent County.

Sussex County is about as TrumpRED as any county can get.

But I'm sure you'll still suggest they're all uninformed, and probably fraudulent votes won't you?
