Although I have taken this test, I won't reveal my score so as not to cause any discord. I can say that it is an excellent measurement not merely of one's political views, but rather of the reasons for them. I am guessing that it will tell you more about your core political ideology than you knew yourself (that was the case with me). Here is the link:

http://www.moral-politics.com/xpolitics.aspx?menu=Home&action=Test&choice=Long

Please take the test and compare notes in this thread. Thank you very much.

I still see myself as a libertarian, but a moderate one at that. I am not a free for all anarchist! Ha ha!

I find this poll to be skewed to the left the answers to the questions are designed in such a way as to paint people who answered in the conservative category as being evil selfish ass holes who want to rape the land and oppress the poor.

Actually, the people who run the site gave their composite score and they are 0 on moral order and -6.5 on moral rules, the latter number being very capitalistic. The average test taker (including non-Americans) has finished at -1 on each axis, so the people who run the site are actually more conservative than most of the people who take the test. If you want to know where I'm coming from politically, I was 0.5 to the right on moral order and -1 on moral rules.

Well, sure. They always try to grab the moral high ground.

People who actually believe what they believe won't be swayed by such a tactic -- its better to be hated for who you are than loved for who you're not.

Actually, M14 Shooter, the people who made the test were almost as capitalistic as you (-6.5 on moral rules) and in the center on moral order (0).

You know, the conservatives that Churchill was referring to in this quote have little or nothing to do with the conservative wing of the Republican party.

This link shows what Thatcher did to the Conservative Party and what Blair, in turn, did to the Labour Party. Churchill would have been closer to the pre-Thatcherite conservatives. My score was 0.25, -1.38:

No, I'm actually starting to lean more towards the Paleo-Con category in that I've come to the realization that the Neo-con agenda is just liberalism wrapped up in Republicans clothing. If anything I'm so far right that I'm a reactionary.

Wait a minute... U.S Parties: Democratice Party, Presidents: Gerald Ford. Gerry Ford was a Democrat?

No, Gerald Ford was a moderate Republican- so moderate, in fact, that many moderate Democrats have more in common with him than they do with most members of their own party.
