I admit my ignorance on the matter and wonder if anyone here holds knowledge or experience on the subject. Sadly my only source of information has been porn and it does not explain the biological differences that cause the phenomenon nor explain what exactly the fluid is and were it comes from.

For those that are uncertain to what I am talking about it is not your typical orgasm. Some females (seems to be fairly rare) when having an orgasm will ejaculate (what looks like) a clear liquid sometimes in large quantities and great distances (several feet).

I have tried to google information to sooth my curiosity but it has only lead me to porn sites and not good information. Please share anything you have.

This topic is more awkward than walking in on your sister in a dressing room, and I should know.
 
Anatomically, there's spongey tissue called the Skene's gland that's located at the base of the urethra, accessible about an inch inside the vagina towards the front. It's referred to as the female equivalent to a prostate.

The fluid exits through those glands which are on either side of the urethra, and it's not urine. It's mostly plasma. The anatomy of the Skene's gland is pretty variable from woman-to-woman and in rare cases may be absent entirely. Most women should be capable of ejaculation, but it's not equally accessible in all women.
 
What experience I've had with it was with a chick who had the ability to expel air from her vagina, and thus when wet enough, she could do the same, wasn't to the same degree as in the pornos though.

Good luck on finding it (you'd most likely need to be a subscriber to access back that far unless you stumbled on the writer), but on Fetlife someone wrote an article/blog on the process of how to induce squirting in a woman. The writer was a woman who was at a party (yes one of those parties) where a man claimed he could make any woman squirt. And proceeded to demonstrate it with several volunteers who had never done so before. The writer also noted that while she had released the fluid she had not orgasmed at that time.
