Felons Voting Illegally May Have Put Franken Over the Top in Minnesota, Study Finds

The six-month election recount that turned former "Saturday Night Live" comedian Al Franken into a U.S. senator may have been decided by convicted felons who voted illegally in Minnesota's Twin Cities.

That's the finding of an 18-month study conducted by Minnesota Majority, a conservative watchdog group, which found that at least 341 convicted felons in largely Democratic Minneapolis-St. Paul voted illegally in the 2008 Senate race between Franken, a Democrat, and his Republican opponent, then-incumbent Sen. Norm Coleman.

The final recount vote in the race, determined six months after Election Day, showed Franken beat Coleman by 312 votes -- fewer votes than the number of felons whose illegal ballots were counted, according to Minnesota Majority's newly released study, which matched publicly available conviction lists with voting records.

Furthermore, the report charges that efforts to get state and federal authorities to act on its findings have been "stonewalled."

"We aren't trying to change the result of the last election. That legally can't be done," said Dan McGrath, Minnesota Majority's executive director. "We are just trying to make sure the integrity of the next election isn't compromised."

We have interviews of many accounts from caucus states recounting threats, intimidation, lies, stolen documents, falsified documents, busing in voters in exchange for paying for "dinners," etc. There are at least 2000 complaints, in Texas alone, of irregularities directed towards the Obama Campaign...

The finding was that Franken received at least 341 counted votes by felons. All of those ballots should have been cast out, because it was illegal for those felons to vote.

I would imagine that it is public to see who voted initially, but not whom they voted for until you find that they were a felon, and ineligible to cast a vote, then you may be able to see who.

So are you more concerned with this specific race or with the voting fraud that was perpetrated on the people of Minnesota? Convicted felons being able to vote is a problem - no matter who they vote for. Franken won because of voting fraud. If you think that the felons would actually vote for the conservative candidate, you simply aren't thinking.

Why couldn't a felon vote conservative? Do you have any evidence at all to support this? 90% is a MASSIVE margin for any demographic. In the entire state of Minnesota, this election came down to 312 votes, it was that evenly split. Yet you suggest that 91.7% of felons are Democrats. You seem to think that only liberals commit crimes, that's utterly absurd. YOU are the one who isn't thinking. Fraudulent votes did not swing this election, it's just conservatives being sore losers. Coleman was just so bad a senator that even a comedian was able to bring him down. Obviously, any voter fraud should be prosecuted, nobody has suggested otherwise, that's just more conservative bull****.
