Im sure youll ignore this and close the thread, but how about enforcing the rules which encourage not starting threads with very little substance? This forum is turning into twitter where nearly every starting post is just something someone found somewhere they want to share and get likes. Maybe they add a snarky comment.

17. Starting a Thread - When starting a thread it is best to express your own thoughts in your own words. Threads w/o original content may be summarily closed.

Feel free to create a separate section for that kind of superficial posting in the basement, but keep it out of the actual political forums.
