I'd say that most enthusiasts of the so-called "True Crime" genre (including accounts of "Satanic ritual abuse" and "recovered memories" of past abuse, so ubiquitous during the '80s as to be almost a genre unto itself; at the very least, a subgenre) are almost undoubtedly "getting off on" these accounts one way or the other- sexually or otherwise.
They are gore-porn for the prurient.

Even so- even if most readers are teenage boys who are getting off on accounts of torture and violence, on ten-page-long graphic descriptions of autopsies, on the twenty page insert of photos... does this influence them to become serial killers themselves?
Not in any case I've ever heard of.
I doubt it causes anyone to molest a child, either, even if they thoroughly enjoy reading about children being sexually tortured.

I don't think it's bizarre at all.
There are tons of pictures of me without clothes from when I was a little kid in our family albums.
I also have pictures of my sons unclothed, playing in the sprinkler outside (these are from last year. haha, just kidding. They were toddlers).
Also naked baby pictures.

I like these pictures. They help me remember what we looked like then.
I love every part of my children, and every part of myself as well.
There is nothing wrong, nasty, shameful, sinful, evil, or perverted about the human body in its natural state.
I was not brought up to believe there is, nor did I bring my children up that way.

One of my very fav pics of me and my mom is a pic of me naked as baby laying on her nude chest skin to skin. There is nothing sexual nor dirty about it. Just a lovely pic.

My parents also have pics of me in tub, outside in kidding pool nude as baby. It nothing wrong with it. Heck there is even one pic of me with my dad taking a bubble bath. *gasp*

Aunt Spiker, I totally understand where you are coming from here in this thread and there is nothing I hate worse than pedophiles! I really do understand what you mean about the pics and you know I even have a hard time with parents postings those like glam shots, etc. of their children clothed on the web cause you just do not know what scumbag is looking at them and also some of these parents post so much private info that it would be easy for a pedohile freak to find their child Getting offtopic but I do see what you are saying.

The last thing I needed as a child was to know that the people who molested me were also invited to view these very 'innocent photos' - sure, my parents taking them and having them wasn't wrong - this was quite innocent. But I knew what was in the minds of other people, which is why I made an effort to take them all and burn them.

As is always brought up - my childhood is the very reason why I'm a staunch advocate against child abuse of all types.

I agree - laws criminalizing motion and still images, drawings and/or stories are too lame to be worth defending even for the hell of it.

I'm not anti-government. That's a term you've tried to apply in order to catagorize me into a box that you think you can better handle. But the truth is, I'm not anti-government. I have never once advocated the total dismantling of all government without any plan of replacement. Sorry if you can't understand something like that; but what I am is anti-bad government. As I have continually called for the proper pressure and restriction to be placed upon the government and any and all abuse of power on the part of the government to be severely and immediately punished. You seem to like to try to throw me into a box, but if you're going to do so at least get the correct one.
