Fed Chairman Jerome Powell in Congressional Testimony says that it would be “appropriate” for the Fed to finish tapering its asset purchases “a few months sooner” than it had previously anticipated and that “it’s probably a good time to retire” the word “transitory.”

I'm no economist, but I would like to see the Fed at least consider the sudden chill that Omicron has had on the markets.

They will certainly take that into account. They will probably also look at additional fiscal stimulus if any gets passed.
