The liberal outlets haven't picked this up just yet. Washington Times has a story though. I'm sure more details will come out if/when the liberal media outlets decide to publish this story.

The FEC fined Mrs. Clinton’s campaign $8,000 and levied a heftier punishment on the DNC, which must pay a $105,000 penalty.

The agency said the two entities “misreported the purpose of certain disbursements.”

The commission issued the fines after receiving a complaint from the Coolidge Reagan Foundation, which describes itself as a First Amendment watchdog group.

The group accused the Clinton campaign and the DNC of conspiring with foreigners in violation of federal campaign finance law to undermine Mr. Trump, who was then the Republican presidential nominee.

According to the complaint, the Clinton campaign and the DNC used the law firm Perkins Coie to “scheme” with Mr. Steele, a British national, to write and disseminate the salacious and unverified “Steele Dossier,” which was produced using information from current and former Russian government officials.

The dossier sought to tarnish Mr. Trump with such infamous stories as the existence of a “pee tape” that showed Mr. Trump urinating on a mattress in a Moscow hotel room with prostitutes. None of the content of the dossier was ever proven to be truthful, but it dominated media coverage of Mr. Trump well into his presidency.

We all know the history of the Clinton campaign and DNC where they funneled money through intermediary law firms to fund foreign spies. This was done to create a false dossier and push a Russian collusion narrative prior to the election. The problem with this, beyond the foreign collusion in our election, is that they lied on their FEC filings to hide the fact that they were behind the false dossier used to smear their opponent. FEC found the money trail and has now fined the two entities for misreporting how they actually spent their money.

Washington Times is questionable ..........

It's as if Trumpists want you to point out the screaming hypocrisy of talk about how awful the Clinton campaign is supposed to be, which involves mentioning their support for Trump despite his far more and far worse actions, and actual crimes. That way, they can make mind-numbingly stupid statements about living rent free . . .

Remember, Trump's DOJ did not indict Hillary. Trump's DOJ did not indict anyone Trumpists call criminal.

One wants to make a stink about “misreported the purpose of certain disbursements.”? That's their new crime of the century?

:ROFLMAO:

Why do I think that the other side of the story or the full story will soon come out. Won't matter though the damage is done the minute the allegation that "so and so saw a letter" was made. Tucker will be on fire tonight.....this story, Trump asking Putin for dirt on Hunter and
Judge Thomas.......so much "news" so little time!!!!

There's nothing on the FEC site about it (yet).

The FEC issues fines. Typically when they do so it results in an article or two being written. Google will help you see that. Given that these fines are penalties imposed for not following election rules, that most likely means a politician is involved. In case you haven’t noticed, you are on a political debate website. Do we have your permission to discuss this news involving a politician and political party?

Or maybe it isn't true. I'll wait and see.

OK, see this:

This is in reference to the complaint you filed with the Federal Election Commission on September 2, 2018, concerning the above-captioned respondents. After conducting an investigation in this matter, the Commission found probable cause to believe that the DNC Services Corp./Democratic National Committee and Virginia McGregor in her official capacity as treasurer (the “DNC”) violated 52 U.S.C. § 30104(b)(5)(A) and (b)(6)(B)(v) and 11 C.F.R. § 104.3(b)(3)(i). The Commission further found probable cause to believe that Hillary for America and Elizabeth Jones in her official capacity as treasurer (“HFA”) violated 52 U.S.C.
§ 30104(b)(5)(A) and 11 C.F.R. § 104.3(b)(4)(i). On February 17, 2022, signed conciliation agreements with the DNC and HFA were accepted by the Commission.

Not being a lawyer and not interested in spending any time on this. Seems they found something about something and nothing about three other somethings and the DNC agreed to pay 8K rather than spend much much more fighting something.......and the Clinton campaign isn't in involved in whatever the something is...but then again those individual names mean nothing to me. 8K? Yawn!

I'll wait until the entire story is reported in laymen's terms meanwhile Trumpers can tune in Tucker for a full and fair accounting.

That's real nice. I am sure Trumpers are all excited about this.

Yet Trump, who with the help of Michael Cohen, who went to jail in part for it, committed campaign violations when he paid off porn stars. And the FEC just couldn't bring themselves to do anything about it.

I don't see any real differences in the crimes. Both were spending money (Improperly) to advance their campaigns.

Please enlighten us, show us one thing in the dossier that has been discredited…
