The FBI arrested 150 people across the United States on charges of holding children against their will for prostitution, a three-day weekend sweep that officials on Monday called the largest-ever operation against child sex-trafficking.

The suspects, whom the FBI referred to as "pimps," were arrested in 76 U.S. cities and are expected to face state and federal charges related to sex crimes and human trafficking, FBI and U.S. Justice Department officials said at a news conference.

FBI agents and local police recovered 105 children during the operation at truck stops, motels, casinos and other places where they were forced to work as prostitutes, officials said.

Of the 150 suspects, 18 were arrested by agents based in Detroit, 17 by agents from San Francisco and 13 by Oklahoma City agents, the FBI said.

The FBI said the suspects were not part of the same operation. It said some belonged to organized crime while others acted alone. The bureau did not immediately release a list of the suspects.....snip~

Finally! However, these signature raids aren't enough by a long shot. Yes, they did good here, but how long did they sit on their hands on some of these cases while they were rolling them up into one big raid they could sell to the press for brownie points.

Look, these asshats are going to be caught most effectively at the local level. The Feebs need to climb down off their power trip and flow their info to the locals to let them hit it PDQ. I've seen how these work and the feds keep the locals in the dark for as long as possible and then just use them for errands. The local LEOs know the community and if they weren't kept in the dark and fed bull**** by the feds they'd have a better chance of dealing with this cancer.
 
Hope they get 20 years in prison, no parole, minimum.
 
Yeah.....I think last week we had some clowns try and snatch a girl with a van. She fought back and punched the one guy in the face and took off running, So Police put out a warning about the Van.

In our neighborhood we have several blockhouses and people that are out.....keeping an eye on things. Most are Vets and parents.

I once stopped a guy that was following a lil girl in his car. As I was following him. Once I knew he was following her and I seen him saying something to her from the car as he was driving. I pulled Right in Front of him and brought him to a dead stop. Jumped out and was over to his side of the car quick like since I didn't know if he was armed.

Found out it was the little girls dad. As she came riding over calling for him. Making sure he was okay. He was surprised to say the least. But he was thankfully that people were keeping an eye out. I told him once he followed her round the block and was coming round again. I wasn't waiting any more time. My OL was ready to call the cops as she was in the car with me at the time.

Needless to say I was relieved that it was her dad. At least he was following her and not letting her just take off on her own.
 
I have nothing but disgust for people who prey upon children especially forcing them into prostitution.

Any of the busts happen around the Happy Valley (Penn St) area?

I have a suspicion those who are being accused of knowing about Sandusky were actually participating in this sort of *activity*.

20 years for trafficking in children for the intent of sexual exploitation??? Per count I am sure you mean...
 
Just to provide some context, most kids who are sexually abused are abused by someone they know-a family member, family friend, babysitter etc.

Most kids who get into prostitution are runaways (often from abusive homes) and throwaways who are then enticed into prostitution to survive while homeless, often by their peers. The throwaways are often gay/lesbian etc kids rejected by their family and community.

The stranger in the van kidnapping your child and forcing them to be a sex slave happens, but it is very rare. The point is that being a good parent in touch with your kid's state of mind is more important than worrying about stranger abduction. The media overhypes the non-family or community based threats to your child.

Heya HT. :2wave: That's Right..... a lot of kids feel like they aren't close to those in their family. Other adults in the family such as Aunts and Uncles see this a lot too. With those kids that have trouble with their parents. I have found many that also were young parents too. So always strengthening the bond thru family and friends is the way to go. So that they know they FEEL close To other family members, and not anything from some external source trying to take the family's or relatives place.
 
It will be interesting to see what will happen to the criminals in this case. All I can say is that JUSTICE better be served. There is NO NEED WHATSOEVER to treat a child like this "animals" have treated them. I don't know what I would do if someone did such a thing to my daughter or my son for that matter.

ABC 7 in Lawton said the FBI, county and city raided 3-4 massage parlors and arrested 8 women. They apparently used the backpage website for targeting information.

The TV never mentioned underage or trafficking- i guess Lawton just has run of the mill whores. I guess that is good...
 
The federal government is evil for this. It's up to the states to take care of their kids. That evil federal government is just trying to stop the good people from owning children if they so wish. This is all about taxes really.
