Nope, he was the guy who handled the investigation into Flynn

And yet, allegations from one person...who everyone still pretends is unidentified...was enough to provide the Dems and Trump haters with enough justification to initiate and follow through with impeachment proceedings.

Yes...this is the Dem's idea of equal justice.

Yes, but it implicates the Mueller Report. The Muller Report was written and submitted to Congress by Barr's Justice Department. If it was improper, then Barr is the one to blame since he was in charge.

The Trump impeachment shows that the bomb comes after the allegations are substantiated by credible witnesses. I'll wait for that before I duck and cover.

Unfortunately, the allegations were NEVER substantiated by any credible witnesses. But that didn't matter because impeachment wasn't the Dem's goal.

Bullshit, it was Rosenstein in charge! Barr cleaned up the mess, and the improper activities were on the part of the FBI and S.C, anyone claiming otherwise is full of shit or galactically stupid.

That is false. Rosenstein answered to Barr. Mueller submitted his report to Barr for approval, and Barr is the one who submitted to Congress. If there was anything at all wrong with it, Barr could have corrected it. If it was a falsified or unsubstantiated document in any way, then he is on the hook for it and should never have submitted it to Congress. Proper procedure would have been to fire Mueller for cause and assign a new special counsel. He didn't fire Mueller because there was no cause. The Mueller Report was accurate and properly investigated and the conclusion that Trump could not be exonerated was the correct one.

Barr stands behind that report. He just tells conservatives that he doesn't because it is en vogue in conservative circles to make excuses for incompetent Republican presidents, and it makes for convenient election season fodder for conservative voters easily fooled by propaganda who prefer deep-state conspiracy theories to facts.

It will still matter even if Biden wins.
Because he will have the problem of having to deal with the reality that the Obama Admin had used the law enforcement and counterintelligence authority of the USA against a political opponent, without evidence of wrongdoing.
He will then need to devise a plan so that this kind of abuse of power doesn't happen again.

Indeed, there may be nothing criminal in using the law enforcement and counterintelligence power of the USA against political opponents with no evidence of wrongdoing.
But we all agree abuse of power ought not be countenance.

I don't agree with that. I do agree with using law enforcement and counterintelligence power of the USA against political opponents when there is evidence of wrongdoing, which appears to be the case here.

The Mueller report found there was no conspiracy. The theory as to that failure was that it was due to obstruction. The recent revelations suggest the failure was due to it not occurring.
It's not clear then for what Barr is responsible.

There was not. The Obama DOJ and DNI leadership had testified they saw no evidence of a conspiracy. This supports the texts of this FBI agent.
The Steele Dossier was information compiled from information given to Steele by a Russian spy.
