OMG - Fresh stovetop roasted peanuts - salted - warm

What's yours?

I like that "white chocolate peppermint bark" stuff.
You just melt some white chocolate chips, mix in some crushed peppermint candy, and spread it on waxed paper to cool in the fridge.
Then you break it into pieces to serve.
It's quite tasty, and it also has a nice presentation; it's pretty.

Also, I have pecan trees, so I'm always trying out new recipes that involve pecans.
Last year I made these really tiny "pecan pies"- bite-sized- in minimuffin tins.
I call those "Pecan Pie Bites". They were a hit at my christmas party.

Mmmm I love the holidays. Sugar cookies have to be my favorite, but only if they have half a pound of frosting and sprinkles on top. Rum cake with a pecan glaze. Speaking of, egg nog with rum. I think I gained a pound just from writing this post.

Reese's peanut butter cups (the mini ones) wrapped in shortbread, sugar coated peanuts, crab stuffed mushrooms, and definitely gotta have some gingerbread cookies.

Damn it I forgot the gingerbread cookies. I need to amend mine.

My wifes side of the family makes these things called sausage balls, which is basically sausage and cheese rolled into a ball. those are pretty good. Other than that, egg nog. But I can't have any alcohol in it, because of the mass amounts of egg nog I drink. I usually take down a quart at a time.

T-bone steak, grilled just to the point where it loses the raw texture and not one second more. Served with mushrooms, onions and garlic suate'd in real butter with some finely chopped garlic and a splash of Worchestshire.

You folks just don't know how to "snack".

Well if we are going to go that route...prime rib roast with cracked peppercorn rub and burgundy wine jelly. Side of au jus and creamy horseradish with a big slice of french bread and garlic mashed potatoes.

Now THAT'S snacking!! Set an extra place for me, j, I'm coming over for snacks!!

OMG, gingerbread. How could I forget?
I love warm gingerbread with whipped cream.
I also love gingerbread milkshakes from Sonic.

No ****, you call your grandma Oma? You of German decent? For years, I thought I was the only one in these United States with an Oma and Opa.

My son calls his great grandmother Oma.

Yeah, Romanian and German actually...the German side is the cool side. The Romanian side of my family is all just whacked out. Good food at the holiday's though...

But yea, i was going to say eggnog as well, although surprisingly, I've never had it with rum, only out of the carton. mmmmmmmmmmmm

Family tradition...

I have no idea how it came about, but we've made the drink "grasshoppers" since I was a kid every Christmas while putting up the Christmas platform...

That is starting to expain a lot....

Surprisingly no...tastes pretty much like a peppermint patty...

jigger of creme de menthe, jigger of creme de cocoa, and 8oz. of milk...

Of course, we made them in pitchers...

I take it back. I'm drinking it with brandy this year and it's much better.
