Why does Todd Akin, who is not a doctor, get grief for saying that when all he did was quote at least two different medical doctors and what they told him? Why doesn't he allow the doctors to speak for themselves and back out of it?

I'm not sure. It's not my fault he didn't investigate his sources and do independent research. But now, I get to reap the benefits and openly mock his stupidity.

I have to remind myself he was making a case in opposition to abortion. All that I can think of when I remember the comment was it sounded like he was in a round about way saying some rape victims aren't as traumatized as they might claim. Although I'm pro-life (except for rapists who need to be executed), that comment was very offensive to me and yes, I think he made up the claim doctors told him that rediculous junk.

Big talk from a guy whose country's prosperity in the post-war era materialized on the backs of American taxpayers. It's nice not to have to raise taxes when Americans are giving (not even really lending) you war materiel and are essentially financing your reconstruction. I respect Churchill as a leader but frankly he was also a bit of an ass.

An ass for accepting American assistance? Are you grateful for all he lead England to do to hold Hitler back, I mean, they did help? Isn't that part of what we paid for? Also, he was out of office in July of 1945....what reconstruction aid did he accept? Whatever it is, I don't have a problem with it since they fought so hard and sacrificed so much to defeat Hitler.
