that Fox viewers are less informed, and have LESS knowledge about news than people who don't watch ANY NEWS!

It shows!!!!

"The Fox News Effect"

In 2012, a Fairleigh Dickinson University survey reported that Fox News viewers were less informed about current events than people who didn't follow the news at all. The survey had asked current events questions like "Which party has the most seats in the House of Representatives?" and also asked what source of news people followed. The Fox viewers' current events scores were in the basement. This finding was immediately trumpeted by the liberal media—by Fox, not so much—and has since become known as the Fox News effect. It conjures the image of Fox News as a black hole that sucks facts out of viewers' heads.

probably the same results for Newsmax and OAN I should expect.

Not surprising. I have not found FOX News to have anything (other than strong anti-left bias) to offer that challenges the mind.

Sorry to point out the obvious, but what does a 6 year old article citing a 10 year old survey have to do with today?

According to what I have read, a lot of "liberals" watch FOX after they get sick of the preaching to the choir on CNN & MSNBC.

FOX has the guts to report news that is politically incorrect, including videos and photographs (of perps, for example).

If it were not for FOX, the American people would be in total ignorance about the facts. (The network news shows are not much better than cable news.)

I didn't see a part where they had a control variable for intelligence. Is it possible FOX viewers are just dumber? That would explain why they're FOX viewers in the first place.

Not Fox News’ fault that their viewers come already naturally profoundly stupid, drooling mouth breathers.

Their blame is in keeping that way.

If it weren’t for Fox News there wouldn’t have been as many new female millionaires today.

This was known 10 years ago about people's knowledge about current events.

In other words they would be better off and better informed watching loony tunes cartoons. I have to admit, I can't disagree except that watching at least some Faux News helps one understand how loony tunes the Right has become in this country.

Bwahahahaha!!! 🤣

There needs to be a limit on the amount of hilarious ridiculousness in any single post. Call it the belly laugh induced vomit cutoff.

You think today’s Fox News viewers are any less stupid and gullible than they were in 2012??

Im going to guess that about 80% of the ‘informed’ know it alls think the spike in prices is due to corporate greeed. ( snicker)

No value in trying to understand stupid people. You end up frustrated, and they continue being stupid.

Often, the obvious answer is the correct answer.

How exacrlty is Joe Biden going to force capitalist private companies to raise their prices to consumers?

Sure if you only read your favourite conspiracy websites, you might come to believe "a lot of "liberals" watch FOX after they get sick of the preaching to the choir on CNN & MSNBC," when they might be watching and listening for more sinister reasons.

I used to watch FauxNews, listen to El Rushbo Hannity and other weird people on the radio. Late at night, sailing along the coast I sometimes caused a bit of turmoil in my crew as I listened to various rightie talking-heads. Why would an uber-librul, "socialist", listen to the nutjobs? It's an old adage, one I first heard in a history class focused on ancient China, and may be found in Sun Tzu's, The Art of War 'Know your enemy and know yourself and you can fight a thousand battles without disaster."

Just an excuse for someone to pad their post count.

He’s not. What these companies are doing now is based on basic supply and demand.
