Fantasy Football 2013-14

We're doing a league at work. I've never understood it so this is my first season. The one we're doing is yahoo based. Any advice?
 
I play a lot on the NFL site and I just finished a great draft. Still do not know how people let me get away with drafting this lot:

QB's Cam Newton, Josh Freeman, Sam Bradford

RB's: Doug Martin, Stevan Ridley, Lamar Miller, Chris Ivory

WR's: Danny Amendola, Jordy Nelson, Tavon Austin, Anquan Boldin, Deandre Hopkins
