A judge in Connecticut has granted the families’ discovery requests, allowing them access to, among other things, InfoWars’ internal marketing and financial documents. The judge has scheduled a hearing next week to decide whether to allow the plaintiffs’ attorneys to depose Jones.​

With all the politically and profit motivated fake victim reports these days I like to see real proof, and their word is not proof.

I never heard of Alex Jones until years after Sandyhook. I do remember watching the news in the days after the shooting and being grossed out at how some of the parents were actually using the deaths of their own children for political ideology advancement. They defiantly seemed like the types to make allegations up.

I think you're wrong on this one Mr. Saladin. I believe nota bene is trying to say that his mental illness may be the primary factor behind his statements. I don't she's absolving him of being a liar, as there are instances where one can say he has lied. However, mental illness may make the statements he makes exponentially worse than whatever lies you think he has said.

Of course, that statement isn't based on any existing diagnosis of Jones' mental health. It also ignores the planning involved in his shows, as he has to research this information, and then come up with whatever he feels is an appropriate theory for the 'facts' he uses to make up his arguments. 'Facts' which his followers then read up on, and repost all over the web - even here on our very own Debate Politics.

Repostings which usually come with easily searchable links which they not only agree with, but that they also want others to believe in. Hell, if you typed up 'infowars' on the search function you'd find a lot of conservatives nota often agrees with. You might even find me making fun of the guy and his supporters cause they want to pick and choose when that broken clock is right.

So what is my conclusion? It's that you're wrong. This should be about the insulting way he has treated those parents. There is simply no other person on television who meets the level of craziness Alex Jones sells, and many people on both sides - but mostly the right - think possitively of the guy. There are idiots on the left who probably agree with his views on vaccines, but overall the man is a product of right wing myths and nuttiness.
