I just stumbled onto this 2 Thessalonians 2 verse in the New Testament.
To say that like an alarm had been set off, is an understatement.
For some reason I can't simply just let go of an issue that itches like a scab.
It feels more like suddenly there is this giant gavel in my hand, to hammer the point in.
To those who are still in their quest to seek the Truth,
to those who are confused by other teachings,
and to those who have been deceived by those teachings - it's not too late.
God, in His grace, had given us the Holy Spirit and the Scriptures to rely on for clarity.
If there are any other religions out there besides Jehovah's Witnesses, that prophesied the Second Coming of Christ had already happened......that is not from God.
Failed prophesy is the surest sign that you are following a false prophet. There can be no question about it.
Over the years, many people, and many religion had made prophesies about the Second Coming.
Even Isaac Newton had made a prediction that Christ Millennium would have begun in year 2000 (in his book Observations upon the Prophecies of Daniel, and the Apocalypse of St. John).
With so many false prophesies over the years, why am I singling out Jehovah's Witnesses?
Perhaps it's because of its aggressiveness? Perhaps, because of its high visibility?
Perhaps, because of its hostile method against the true Christian religion?
Perhaps, to reach out to those already deceived....
Perhaps, it is a serious threat in confusing and deceiving so many?
Christians know that Satan loves to sow confusion - that's how he undermines our faith.
Satan will use anyone, or anything, to draw us away from God.
Then I stumbled on this verse this morning. This verse is so relevant to prophesies made by JW.
It seems to refer to JW.
2 Thessalonians 2
The Man of Lawlessness
2 Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers and sisters,
2 not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by the teaching allegedly from us—whether by a prophecy or by word of mouth or by letter—asserting that the day of the Lord has already come.
3 Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction.
There was an attempt to whitewash the failed prophesies:

Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society publications have made a series of predictions about Christ's Second Coming and the advent of God's Kingdom, each of which has gone unfulfilled. Almost all the predictions for 1878, 1881, 1914, 1918 and 1925 were later reinterpreted as a confirmation of the eschatological framework of the Bible Student movement and Jehovah's Witnesses, with many of the predicted events viewed as having taken place invisibly.
Further expectations were held for the arrival of Armageddon in 1975, but resulted in a later apology to members from the society's leadership.
1878: End of the harvest
1881: A revised end of the harvest
1914: The end of human rulership
1918: The new terminus
1925: Resurrection of the patriarchs
1975: The worldwide jubilee

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Watch_Tower_Society_unfulfilled_predictionsEnglish researcher George D. Chryssides has argued that although there have been some "unrealized expectations", changes in Watch Tower chronology are attributable more to changed chronological schemes, rather than to failed predictions.[1]
The Watch Tower Society has acknowledged errors, which it said helped "sift" the unfaithful from its ranks, but says adherents remained confident that "God's Word" had not failed.[2]
