Even though this guy fails to address questions and criticisms from other users I just want to point something out right now to anyone whose still reading. I don't expect an adequate response from Demosthenes.

Never once did Demosthenes address this Illegal Alien situation as Illegal Immigration until he started talking about the Europeans who came to this Continent. They are illegal aliens.

Here's what goes on in my head when I try to rationalize what Demosthenes is basically saying:
The United States has Immigration policy.
People illegally immigrate into The United States.
We Recognize the Illegality of Illegal Immigration because of how we've defined Immigration for this Nation.
This is wrong, they're just immigrants.
The Native Americans had an Immigration Policy too,
Europeans Illegally Immigrated onto land that was already being disputed amongst Native Americans anyways, in which Agreements were made and Valueables and Violence were exchanged. Nothing new when the Europeans joined in on this Territorial Game.
Europeans have come onto, and obtained the land we are now living on, Illegally, making everyone who was since then born here and immigrated here, illegal or legal based on our policy, illegal aliens, since fundamentally this was only suppose to be land for Native Americans (even though the Native Americans never had enough unity to make such nation wide policies)
This means that the illegal aliens in our policy, would also be illegal aliens in the Native American law of the lands (Since there was never really any unity with all of these Native American tribes, it's hard to say what parts of this Continent would Allow, Dissallow, and Restrict Immigration)
So either way, no matter how the argument is twisted, the Illegals of United States Policy, would still have no right to be here and settle amongst Native Americans (the tribes that would disallow Immigration or better yet, disallow Trespassing on tribal territory period).


Demosthenes also implies that the existance of the United States is illegitimate and this Country should cease to exist. He opposes the European's So Called Illegal Obtaining of Land and questions our Morality of keeping this Country to "ourselves". Now, I'm not sure if he means that the European Settlers wanted to keep it to themselves, or if he's talking about United States Citizens. If he's talking about United States Citizens he's talking about those have met the requirements of becoming a United States Citizen. People from all over the World may qualify, meeting certain requirements based on our Immigration Policy. The kinds of Citizens we actually do have would suggest that legal immigration and Citizenship isn't reserved only for Rich Europeans (because poor people can't immigrate legally according to Demosthenes, or if they can it would be near impossible). So in Demosthenes's America. There wouldn't be an America. It would just be an Unified Nation of UnderCivilized UnderModernized Native Tribes, and nobody else.

The United States is a sovereign nation with it's own laws and it's own immigration policy. What happened before the US became a nation is relatively immaterial.

Again, you're just trying to make some kind of case to justify illegal aliens having as much right to be here as legal US citizens.

You came into the game late. I know reading is hard, but bare with me and read post #14:

I think a wholesale clamp down on the border accompanied by amnesty for all illegals in the US, and much easier immigration laws. Shouldn't be so hard to immigrate. If your not a criminal, then you're in. Also, welfare needs to be fixed to a certain amount of time for each situation. The problem isn't that immigrants take advantage of welfare, but that people take advantage of welfare, and immigrants are some of those people.

It's not illegals who are the biggest problem, it's the laws that make it hard to immigrate, and easy to sneak it. The government allows illegal immigration this way for some reason. Maybe they're stupid, maybe they have some other reason... In any case it sucks.

Fine. They broke the law, it's entirely reasonable to deport them and punish those who facilitate them. But it's important to remember the governments role in make immigration difficult and illegal immigration easy. This is the more important issue.

Assimilation in that they swear allegiance is fine. But no one has to learn English, no one has to change their culture at all. If that was the standard we'd be eating buffalo and speaking some Native American language.

And our forefathers who landed on the east cost did not assimilate with the people already there. They ignored them, their children later killed them, and their grand children took their land. No one respected their customs, their social laws, or their lives.

Now we've taken that land and built a successful nation. Fine, there's nothing we can do, all the people that got $^%#ed are dead, and so are the people who did it to them. So we're left where we are.

But now, the country that used to be proud of it's mix of cultures, turns out to only be proud of it's mix of European cultures. I don't see the problem with a Latin American family living their culture across the street from me. For practical reasons their children would have to learn English, probably the parents too. As long as they are loyal to the nation, who cares what they do. I don't see the problem. Is it weird that they live with extended family? Don't like tacos? What the hell is wrong with being a Mexican American?

More people will come in for the next round of amnesty after we grant amnesty to the illegals that are here now. This will continue to drive wages down. If this cycle continues you will have your third world nation.

Let me tell you a true life story. I moved further out of the city 3 years ago. I lived in a nice neighborhood. At least it was nice until the illegals started moving in. Across the street from me some illegals moved in. Day labor guys doing lawn care and construction. Within 1 month there were at least 40 people living in a 3 bed 2 bath home. Parking was getting imposible. Everyday there were 9 vehicles parked at this house. My neighbors and I complained to the city, including code enforcement. Nothing was done. So we learned to live with it.

Over the next few years more illegal aliens moved in to other homes. As they moved in crime rates including auto theft, burglery, rape, drug dealing, and gangs were becoming a serious problem. Prior to the influx of illegals we did not have a gang problem.

My neighbor Jack and his wife moved, Then my next door neighbor Shawn moved. Illegals moved into his house. My wife and I had enough and we put our home up for sale. That once quite peacefull neighborhood is now one of the worst places to live in my old Town. It has become a third world neighborhood. Last time I drove through there I stopped and talked to one of the last remaining families. They said that the neighbors had goats and chickens. Code enforcement looked the other way. My old friend is retired and on a fixed income. He can not afford to move. The crime is rampant now. They broke into his home and took some of his guns and his wifes jewlery.

This has been happening all over Dallas county. Dallas has the highest crime rate in the nation 5 years in a row now. It wasn't always this way.

Dallas is also a sanctuary city for illegals. Mayor Miller does not allow the police to ask a criminal his legal status. Welcome to third world Dallas.

The City I lived in was a suburb of Dallas in Dallas county. It is now crime infested. This all coincides with the influx of illegals.

I also lost my buisness to illegals. I could not compeate with gready people that hired the illegals. I could have hired illegals and made a good living.

I want our government to fix the problem. It seems they care more about the Illegals than they do there own citizens. This bullsh!t has got to stop. ~ Sgt Rock
