Fact Checkers Prove That 91% of the Things Donald Trump Says Are False

“Donald Trump, the Republican front-runner, is at the bottom of the Politifact list with a sad 9% of true or mostly true statements. Just 9% of the things Donald Trump says are mostly related to the truth.”

“Politicians running for president are graded by Politfact and the order runs in the way you would expect it to if you find yourself annoyed when Donald Trump is speaking. Donald Trump, the Republican front-runner, is at the bottom of the list with a sad 9% of true or mostly true statements. Just 9% of the things Donald Trump says are mostly related to the truth.

Trump lies so much that in 2015, Politifact awarded him the Lie of the Year for numerous statements he made, because the team couldn’t pick the most egregious lie. Out of 77 statements checked, 76 of them were found to be mostly false to false to pants on fire lies ……………..

If he can’t tell the truth how could he be president?

Shocking. Unreal this putz is still around. Not that the rest of the candidates are any better people sans maybe Bernie.

Trump supporters aren't uninformed, they're misinformed.

By the Donald himself.

Ninety-One-Percent Liar, eh? Why am I not surprised?

i'm surprised it's not higher tbh

i just always assume hillary and cruz are lying, yet i found myself wondering the other day if during his whole campaign trump has said ONE true thing. I barely follow any of it, yet i'm always hearing of his lies

even seeing the soundbite of his first debate when he claimed he only made sexist statements about rosie o'donell, i got curious and quickly dug up dozens he made about other women

Hillary is also a habitual liar, which doesn't change the fact that the vast majority of the things coming out of Donald's mouth are half-truths, exaggerations, and outright lies. You don't need to trust the bias or lack of bias of any news network. Just listen to the things that he says and try fact checking it. Most of it isn't even on the same planet as true.

Using politifact? What a joke.

PolitiFact.com was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for National Reporting in 2009.

Explain that away,if you can.

Hilarious.

What they won in 2009 for what they did in 2008 has absolutely nothing to do with today or Trump.

Then there is this.

Win a Pulitzer--for criticizing Pulitzer Prize-winning PolitiFact

PolitiFact's defenders love to point to the Pulitzer Prize for national reporting PolitiFact took home for a collection of 13 stories published in 2008. People apparently fail to realize the limited scope of judgment brought to bear by Pulitzer juries.

Fortunately, the Pulitzer folks have made it dead easy to turn that argument into a flaccid pretzel: James Rago of the Wall Street Journal won the 2010 Pulitzer Prize for Editorial Writing--and part of the collection he submitted contained his column "PolitiFiction," where he criticized PolitiFact's choice for its 2010 "Lie of the Year."

Perhaps it suffers from the same corruption as the nobel peace prize. I don't know. But I don't take these things as being indicative of anything meaningful. All politicians lie. They can't win office unless they do. And that is our fault.

If you're holding your breath waiting for a Pulitzer Prize for your comments you're going to end up out of breath and disappointed.

Only if we waste our time listening to them and buy into the BS that they spread.

What is there to explain? The President got a Nobel. Did that add value to the award? Who cares?

The fact is, Politifact is an arm of the Progessive Machine, and has been shown to be extremely biased.

Think about it rationally Shrubnose.

91% of what Donald Trump says is a lie? That's a complete lie itself. The headline is a misleading bit of political pap.

So Trump gets up in the morning and says Hi to everybody, asks how they are doing, maybe asks for some breakfast, and 91% of that is a lie?

How gullible liberal/progressives get through a day is remarkable.

I could make similar comments about the gullible far-right people who will be following Trump off of the cliff.

Perhaps, but they won't be mesmerized at the time by absurd claims like 91% of what Bernie or Hillary says are lies. How intellectually vacant does one need to be to actually embrace and support such a claim?

Shocking. Unreal this putz is still around. Not that the rest of the candidates are any better people sans maybe Bernie.

all of the rest of the candidates ARE better.....but nothing to write home about....................My "shocking" is even when folks know what a liar he is the still remain loyal and defend him.........

Which IMHO means there is something unstated reasons for folks to support Trump..............What might that Be?

Ask those who are buying into the hate and fear that Trump is spreading that question.

They might have an answer for you.

Using politifact? What a joke.

What a joke?

Why is that.............most every one else is not laughing.............nor is your comment anything more than an uninformed opinion someone taught you to say............

And if may "school" you a tad.............an argument is to provide examples proving Politifact is unreliable..........Less that that6 is but BS dripping from one mouth

Oh please. Hate and Fear?

You don't honestly think this liberal/progressive meme about hate and fear is going to sell outside the dog pound do you?

What is the BS that he's been trying to spread about Mexicans and Muslims besides a hate and fear based campaign?

Trump is the loser who's going to find out that his BS doesn't sell to most Americans.

Wait and see.

Well of course. Rational people understand they have to wait and see. The others have their crystal balls.

The fact is, it would seem the truth about some people who are Mexican and Muslim represents opportunity to get the pack barking at shadows - a predictable outcome the Progressive Machine is counting on.

Whether such manipulation can capture an election remains to be seen.
