Exxon is mining bitcoin in North Dakota as part of its plan to slash emissions

They generate electricity and mine bitcoin from natural gas that would normally be flared. This made me think. Why not put it back into the grid. In fact why not allow the natural gas infrastructure be used by municipalities to do the same. Or even private residences. This will sustain the electrical infrastructure as millions of electric vehicles begin storing electricity.
