They fought a recent war and Armenia lost. Lots of hate on both sides

Armenia (Christian) & Azerbaijan (Muslim) have had a number of wars

Armenia backed by Russia - Azerbaijan by Turkey with a lot of Israeli arms. Links to their recent wars

It's definitely complicated.
