Explain these photographers after the supposed assassination attempt on Trump in Butler PA

Now here is something that defies logic, imo. Right after Trump was "shot", and surrounded (poorly I might add) by USSS agents, there is an group of photographers taking pictures directly below the stage.

In such circumstances, why would the USSS allow civilians to get this close to a president who was just "shot"?

Yeah, I'm thinking it wouldn't happen.

So take your best shot at trying to explain what is going on here:

 
Their main priority is to get him the hell out of there while others look for threats. The guys holding large lensed cameras ain't it.

And of course some photographers are going to risk it and move in for 'that shot' to get that payday. Kinda like how some will put themselves in the middle of a warzone.

Well, they did say there were many failures here; add it to the list.

Maybe in the quickly unfolding chaos they deemed the photographer is to be minimal concern.
Keep eyes on and deal with them, miss something else.

At least you're in the right forum.
 
It makes absolutely no sense to me. None. If your job is to provide security you are trained not to be distracted. As part of your continuous training you will be distracted at times and in ways you never imagined.

"This is your area. This is what you cover no matter what else happens around you. You cover here and protect in this direction. Everyone needs to know and depend on you doing exactly what you are assigned to do just as you must depend on them."

If they trained USAF Security Police to do it that we might imagine that Secret Service could write the book on it.

We don't know, but how in the world were people allowed that close and holding what appears to be cameras AND following the action around the stage to the side as Trump is being protected? Who was protecting further action coming from in front of the stage? It makes no sense.
 
Yes, when I do not believe something but it still makes no sense, I will post it here.

I'm just trying to figure out how this could be possible unless it was staged.

It's been a year and we know nothing more than we did in the first week or so after the shooting.

Taking shots at politicians, especially Presidents and Presidential candidates, has a pretty rich tradition in the United States.

I am going with my good friend Occam on this one. Someone tried to kill Trump and failed. My opinion is the Secret Service grew complacent and got their Challenger disaster.

This kind of stuff always seems like someone is just asking "why don't people behave exactly the way I expect them to during one of the most chaotic moments ever?"

You mean like the guy in the suit who runs over and gathers the camera people together to make sure they get the best angle?

Or how there is an extended period of time that the USSS have Trump just stay in one place while they take several photos before deciding to move him off of the stage? This is when he did the famous fist bump with "fight, fight, fight".

You're right, they aren't acting like what we've been told USSS agents should act during a time like this.

Tell us about the dead gunman too while you are at it.

Wrong answer. The OP is addressing the strange behavior of the rifleman on the stage. To take it one step further, how was the rifleman certain that in that sudden moment the “photographers” and people in the crowd behind the photographers posed no harm?

Clearly staged. How else was Trump to get his close up fist pump shot to hang in the WH?!

Someone could have shot him from right behind the barricade they got in front of just the same had they somehow got a firearm in past SS screening.
Their main threat was really physical assault which don't see happening.

But then again, with the list of balls being dropped...

The assassination attempt was not staged.

No one has to explain the video or anyone's behavior to you or anyone else.

A person is dead and two people were severely wounded.

But if you think it's staged, give us the full version of the events start to finish.
 
What about the opposite CT regarding this episode?

That perhaps there were co-conspirators with the shooter? Why do we know so little about the shooter and the circumstances that led to this incident?

"Lone wolf" does not answer many questions.
 
Understanding there was a possibility he could be shot, he probably hired a team to assure it would be appropriately documented. They might have even rehearsed it. That’s entertainment!
