Senator Elizabeth Warren will soon endorse presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and, while not currently interested in serving as her running mate, has not ruled it out, several sources close to Warren told Reuters.
Advisers to Warren, a fiery critic of Wall Street and a popular figure among progressive Democrats, have been in close contact with Clinton's campaign team and the conversations have increased in frequency in recent weeks, the sources said.
Warren, 66, represents her home state of Massachusetts in the U.S. Senate. The sources said that foremost in her thinking is how best to help the Democratic Party defeat the presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump in the Nov. 8 presidential election and advance issues such as income inequality which top Warren's agenda.

An endorsement of Clinton could come within a week or two, one of the sources said. Clinton has been appealing for Democratic Party unity. On Twitter over the weekend, Warren echoed that call and emphasized the importance of the party coming together to beat Trump.
“Get ready, Donald,” she tweeted. “We're coming.”

Sounds like Warren will be endorsing Hillary soon. Also its almost beginning to look like she might be a possible VP.....

I still like Warren and respect the work she does. But I lost a little respect for her when she stood on the sidelines during the primaries and didn't endorse a candidate. She did the typical politician thing of waiting to see who would win.

Talk about an unbalanced ticket. Two women from the Northeast. Two people who worked in the administration. My guess is the senator from Ohio.

sherrod brown is pretty much a lightweight intellectually-sort of like hillary. she ought to pick someone from the South who is a moderate on issues like guns and the military

To be honest, I've never trusted Warren. I supported her initially because Sen. Sanders did.

But I don't even really trust Sanders as much as I did. I feel like if he'd actually wanted to, he could have steamrolled Clinton (even with the rampant voting fraud in NY, AZ and Cali).

Not to mention his downplaying of her email scandals.

Yeah. Looking back at it, I feel Bernie really screwed up on downplaying the whole email scandal.

I would just note that a majority of superdelegates did make an endorsement before last night. So I'm not not sure that "typical" really applies.

Makes sense, do you have a name. If there is someone like that from NC that would be helpful in a state that should be close.

Sherrod is a lightweight, but winning Ohio would probably sew this thing up for the Dems.

Yeah. Looking back at it, I feel Bernie really screwed up on downplaying the whole email scandal.

Or, he's been a Clinton stooge the entire time. Either is likely.

In my humble opinion, us - as Sanders supporters (both current and former) - not only have a right, but an obligation to get pissed the FUUUUUCK off at him for ****ing up as bad as he has!

Time for We The People to hijack his movement.
**** ALL THE CANDIDATES!
**** THE GOVERNMENT!
**** THIS BROKEN-ASS SYSTEM!

Yeah. Looking back at it, I feel Bernie really screwed up on downplaying the whole email scandal.

I would argue that it was a screw up from a purely personal perspective, but the better call from a collective (i.e. better for Democrats as a whole) perspective.

Hey TD, I know this isn't related, but I never saw you comment on Trump's attack on the Judge's bias. Do you mind if I ask your opinion on that topic?

The influence of the VP is fairly minimal on the selection by the vast majority of voters. So looking for a "balance" is largely not necessary and that could be especially true considering all of the weaknesses of Trump. On the other hand, an attack dog that solidifies the woman theme which Hillary has pushed and emphasized (particularly last night) might be very useful in a VP.

I haven't really given it much thought. My wife-probably listening to some show-noted that judges are not allowed to belong to the boy scouts out there so why is this judge a member of what appears to be a racialist (I won't call them racist since I haven't researched it) group? people attack judges' perceived bias all the time but usually after they get a bad result.

Normally in normal years, these sorts of comments would hurt a candidate. but some of this nonsense seems to help Trump. I cannot figure it out-normal rules that applied in the past don't seem to matter these days

He was part of a Hispanic Attorney and Judges association. And yes, a judge's bias gets questioned all the time (and it is healthy to do such), but Trump's attorneys never filed a motion to recuse and Trump used the fact that the judge's parents were born in Mexico as the reason why the judge has an inherent bias. But even if the judge were explicitly part of a group that has publicly denounced Trump, doesn't the standard require that this specific judge have shown some bias (through words or actions) according to a reasonable, disinterested party?

If you don't mind me asking, wasn't the judge born in Indiana?

Yes, and from what I understand, his parents had been in the United States longer than Trump's morther.

Then that just shows that Trump calling the guy a 'Mexican' makes no sense whatsoever.

from wikipedia:

The Mexican Spanish term La Raza translates as "the Race", Spanish raza having the meaning of "race, ethnicity; breed, strain, lineage".

oh sure, nothing to see here. Trump is crazy. I'm sure all the people in that organization LOVE him.

You have evidence of the judge issuing a statement on behalf of the group? Or a statement from the judge indicating his bias to a rational individual?

No.

But please, if you still feel that being apart of a group that includes the phrase, "La Raza" in its name is enough to disqualify the judge - you go ahead and file the motion so that you can suffer the censure consequences instead of Trump's attorneys.

Yeah, well, I'm not a Democrat I'm a Welsh-American.

Suuuuuuuuure. and if a white judged belonged to a group called "The Race" I'm sure you would have NO PROBLEM with him making judgements on ALL KINDS of other races. otherwise you would be a hypocrite.

From Hillarys bubble, she seems to think the entire country wants to head left.

Warren is part of the problem. She got paid $430k per semester at Harvard, moonlighted on cases on the side since she is, appropriately, a bankruptcy expert.

They also paid her salary ~ $500k for teaching twice a week while she was advising Obama. This how the elite take care of their own.

She just got a book advance for $700k for a book no one will probably read. It's just another form of protected money laundering.

Again, the elite taking care of their own.

They talk the talk, but they only take the walk to the bank.
