Exclusive: Secret tapes undermine Hillary Clinton on Libyan war[W:292]

Hilary had her hands tied!!!! Really can see the truth if you read what is not said in that article.

What?

Ah, wait.

Obama inherited this mess and now Hillary had her hands tied.

I am certain and I will make a large, huge in fact, issue of this in the next election so I would ask that you provide documentation as to who and how she was in bondage in the service of Obama

It would be essential for the American people to know the weakness of character for someone to be subservient in a cabinet position; it clearly suggests she could be bound if not gagged should she ever somehow become president.

Weakness like that becomes cowardice if it isn't already and coupled with her demonstrated incompetence and penchant for dishonesty she is clearly ill suited to be a meter maid let alone in high office of any kind

We left Iraq before it was ready to stand on its own two feet. We should have stayed much longer. Decades longer-and out Potus, and the one before him should have made the case for that.

This is how O-pologists do it. Take credit only for things that benefit them politically, blame away all its failings.

You missed the point-that the blunder about saying we were ending it when we were not is what I was referring to.

Ah yes, like red lines: Obama and

We will stay the course: Bush

I agree.

Not to derail the thread, but your non-sequitur on Japan is fiction and ignores Japan's creation of their Sphere of Influence.

I love revisionism...even when it has absolutely nothing to do with the subject, there it is.

Next is that FDR knew about the pending attack for days and let it happen because he wanted war.

Love these guys, so entertaining

Our "economic war" against Japan was in response to its invasion of Manchuria. It was absolutely justified.

That's a whole other debate. Just don't be denying that FDR's economic war was a provocation. It is nice to see so many republican right wingers defending a democratic president though not shocking, I know the fringe right would defend anyone interested in involving the US in war.

There has been also much classified data that shows FDR was responding to requests to do so from Britain and the USSR, who stood to lose a lot should the Japanese EMpire make good on its intent to invade and conquer.

NIE's demonstrate that the Iraq war produced a sharp increase in Islamic extremists leading to the total chaos in the ME today. And rather than arresting the problem, Obama has fanned the flames. But it takes guts to acknowledge both, something no partisan will ever do.

To continue a theme....

look at this thread. We are discussing a published document about new information about Hillary Clinton and her role in Libya.

Look at the leftist replies. Look at the in thread warning. Look at the arguments.

Few of them deal directly with the issue, the best posts are about the Japanese and World War II ad every topic BUT Hillary...the only people who are even sticking to the issue are right wingers and independents.

There can no longer debate the issues....everything has to be revisionism, reductivism, deflection or excuses......

The Democrats have two, only two figureheads and both as so weak they are held back by others or have their hands tied. Yeah, I would argue anything but current politics at that point too.

Greetings, F&L. :2wave:

It's the "D" after the name that matters - character will be looked into later. I have posted many times that I just don't think her heart's in it, and I've felt she may not run. Oh, she'd like to be POTUS, of course, but right now - I just don't think so. I'm probably wrong, but that's my thinking, and I will eat crow if I'm not correct. She keeps better track of the polls than anyone else does, and she knows what's waiting in the background to greet her announcement. It's not good politically to have your ability doubted before you even take office!

Im not saying you didn't hold that position, Im saying it wasn't demonstrated here. I can take you for your word but thats all weve got here.

Ah yes, like red lines: Obama and

We will stay the course: Bush

I agree.

Bush did stay the course-he didn't tuck tail and leave when the left was pressuring him to-he was of course bound by his term in office. Iraq would probably look very different today if he had remained in office-but of course thats water over the dam.

See my sig. When the facts dont add up they will find ways to make them fit-even with revisionism, bizarre conspiracies, etc.

NIE's are not opinion pieces, and if they aren't good enough for you nothing is, and I suspect the latter because the fringe right is going to support Bush's failed Iraq policy, to the end.

Its just not a partisan issue to me. Japan didn't just attack the US on Dec 7th (8th). There are plenty of legitimate criticisms of FDR, this isn't one of them.

Hi Polgara, hopefully your right, and won't be eating any crow, its nasty I hear anyway.

I dont know what you mean by NIE. And in any case walking on eggshells to appease your enemies is worse.
Just like Hillary lying to get us into war after shrieking about Bush doing the same is worse.

She's going to see this brought up come election season.

I have plenty I could continue on with on this subject, but obviously, somebodies....................going to report, so I'll refrain and just say that I hope this, or any other number of Hillary blunders derails any attempt of hers to win the WH.

Historically being Sec of State has been seen as a stepping stone to the Presidency, but its a dual edged sword. In this case, she may have poked herself.
Add in her prior failed attempt at POTUS and she's weakened her position even further-too much time in the national spotlight.

The left can't debate the issues-they will lose and know that. They seek to win through rhetoric, spin, attacks, derailment, etc.
This of course is no different-because it can't be.

National Intelligence Estimates (our governments own findings are that the Iraq war fuels Islamic extremism, and made the US less safe)

You're still trying to make the argument that FDR's provocations to Japan were justifiable. And I'm not talking about that. I'm merely pointing out that the notion that the US was minding our business and Japan sucker punched us without any provocation, is FALSE. But again, another thread.

I do agree with you that Hillary lying us into war after repeatedly pointing out the FACT that Bush indeed had lied us into war is worse. And I would add that because of that, neither of them are, or were fit for the office.

The Moony Times and NewsMax? you must be kidding me.

/thread

I bet you think Hillary was telling the truth when she claimed that she dodged sniper fire in Bosnia....and that daughter Chelsea was jogging around the wtc towers when the jets hit them on 9/11/01.......and that Hillary and Bill were dead broke when they left the white house.

Yes......I think Hillary and NBC anchor Brian Williams have much in common.
