Interesting thought. There's also that we let him rot in the airport for a long time, and left him with no other choice besides coming back here or staying there. He basically defected -- to a country whose record on spying on it's own citizens is....well let's say they have a long history of it.
How better to discredit Snowden's warnings of the threat posed to civil liberties by our ever-growing surveillance state than to ceaselessly point out that he has found sanctuary in the arms of the FSB, the successor to the KGB?
