A Republican acting as a paid foreign agent on behalf of Venezuela. The country Republicans are always smearing Democrats with. Every conservative accusation is a confession.

A former Miami congressman who signed a $50 million consulting contract with Venezuela’s socialist government was arrested Monday on charges of money laundering and representing a foreign government without registering. David Rivera, a Republican who has been marred by scandals stretching back to his days in Congress from 2011 to 2013, was arrested at Atlanta’s airport, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Miami.
The eight-count indictment alleges Rivera at the start of the Trump administration was part of a conspiracy to lobby on behalf of Venezuela to lower tensions with the U.S., resolve a legal dispute with a U.S. oil company and end U.S. sanctions against the South American nation — all without registering as a foreign agent. The indictment cites meetings in Washington, New York and Dallas that Rivera either attended or tried to set up for allies of President Nicolas Maduro with U.S. lawmakers and a top aide to former President Donald Trump. To hide the sensitive nature of his work, prosecutors allege Rivera referred to Maduro in chat messages as the “bus driver,” a congressman as “Sombrero” and millions of dollars as “melons.”

Let's see. Honesty, integrity, money. Honesty, integrity, money. Honesty, integrity, money.

The best things in life are free, honesty and integrity are not for me, now give me money, that's what I want.

Republicans, ugh.

It's always nice to see scumbag politicians reaping what they've sown.

More republican corruption.

By show of hands, who's surprised?

Actually, I was. In Miami, I was expecting it to be a Dem just by location.

Looks like he had it all figured out. :ROFLMAO:

You are correct though... when the GQP makes an accusation, it is probably a confession. See voter fraud, anti-gay legislation, foreign agents, etc... for more of a clarification.

hmmm when I read this, I did not realize he was a Republican. I say lock him up and throw away the key...same thing I said this morning before I knew his political affiliation.

I was actually surprised as well. I figured Maduro and Venezuela would be someone that is a Democrat or Independent....but to my surprised it was a Republican...all about them dollars, they don't care who suffers as a result.
