Bob McDonnell's corruption convictions and requiring a retrial.[/FONT][FONT="]"In addition to being inconsistent with both text and precedent, the Government’s expansive interpretation of 'official act' would raise significant constitutional concerns," according to the unanimous opinion."
I was shocked, and think it's significant that the decision was unanimous.
"During oral arguments at the Supreme Court in April, numerous justices sounded skeptical of his conviction and expressed concerns that federal bribery laws were too broad and granted prosecutors too much power."

In a cover letter to a 672-page report provided to Congress on Thursday, alongside additional attachments and findings, the Justice Department said the two prosecutors would be suspended without pay — Joseph Bottini for 40 days, and James Goeke for 15 days."

Reckless professional misconduct that cost Sen. Steven's his seat in the Senate and tens of thousands in attorney's fees and the two prosecuting attorneys get a 15 day and a 40 day suspension. Too much power? Of course not.
