Former Google consultant Joe Toscano is a key figure in the wildly popular Netflix documentary “The Social Dilemma,” that details the negative impact Big Tech can have on people, and the Nebraska native feels Americans have a long way to go before the problem is solved.

“If the algorithm of the internet were a highway and on the side of that highway, there was an accident that we were all looking at, which we do, right? Everyone does, but every time someone looked at that accident, it’s like a click, like or engagement. So if the algorithm of the internet were a highway, the internet would think we need more car accidents,” Toscano told Fox News.

I don’t claim to know where to go from here, but the tribalism of the country, mixed with unvetted input from all over the world from friend and foe, is something that is going to have to be addressed at some point or another. We are getting to the point of “What is the social cost of free speech?”

We don't need any government-based solution.

The solution is educating people about the manipulation on the part of Google and the various anti-Trump social media organizations so the influence is minimized. This awareness will also minimize the influence of other...China, Russia, Iran, the Mainstream Media and their echo chamber, etc.

Unfortunately, the American public, by and large, are stupid...they don't care...and they've been conditioned to believe what they read, see and hear.

We need to force the media to change via lawsuits and force them back to truth telling and source checking, rather than source “officials say”, then go and source each other to gain social momentum based in bullshit.
