Evidence mounts that recovery is hitting the skids - Yahoo! Finance

Quote(WASHINGTON (AP) -- The economic rebound is stalling.

A raft of weak new reports Thursday provided the strongest evidence yet that the recovery is slowing and added to concerns that the nation could be on its way back into recession.

Most notable was a rise in the number of people filing for unemployment benefits for the first time. The four-week average for jobless claims now stands at its highest point since March.)

Many people have said that the recession only ended in the minds of Obama and his ilk.

Very likely they were and are correct.
Come January the US will see an enormous raft of new taxes come into being.

.Yep all kinds of taxes for every income level. I've heard mention again lately of a VAT tax. That will hit everyone from the very poor to the very rich.
:-(

Not surprised at all to be honest. While Europe and the rest of the world have done everything to fix their economies and make sure that the problems that caused the recession can not happen again so easily, the US has basically stood still due to the partisan cluster**** on the hill. Nothing has basically been done due to various reasons and both sides of the political spectrum are to blame. It almost seems that the current crop of politicians are avoiding to deal with the problems they caused.
