In Chicago there was a Chinese restaurant that served a dish called black mushroom chop suey. The mushrooms were in the form of a ribbon like ribbon candy and beige in the center and black or dark at the edges. I have never found another restaurant that had them and I'm talking 30 years. Anyone ever hear of them?

They're portabella mushrooms cut into thin strips. Or, at least that's what they are at our local Chinese restaurant, because I asked.

Do you remember the name of the restaurant?
