One morning, my wife and I headed out the door to go to work and when we walked to the car, it wasn't there. Then, I remembered that I had dropped her off at home and went back to work the night before. Then at about three in the morning, I walked home because I forgot I drove as I was thinking about the project I was working on the whole time on the way home. Here's the problem, it was about a three mile walk to work and there was a very big hill that was uphill on the way to work. This was winter in Minnesota and we had recently moved to town and gotten these jobs at a company, so we didn't want to call in sick so soon after starting. I called work and informed them that I was having car trouble and we walked to work in dress clothes. My wife was absolutely furious as the sidewalks were icy as hell and it was cold. Looking back, I think it was hilarious. Anyone else ever have an experience like this?

Not when sober.

Sort of and this is not because I am stoned or drunk driving either...this is my brain.....I will drive into a shopping center or Costco or Walmart or whatever.....then I park my car and go do my business and I pretty much hate shopping so I am not having fun, I want it to be over......then I walk out of the place with my new stuff, sometimes it is heavy stuff, in the old days I had kids in tow as well....."Wait, where did I park today?"

And I seriously have no idea, my brain did not register this information, standing there for a minute or two looking like an idiot thinking is not going to help.

So I start walking the parking lot trying to find my car.

Now I try to park in the same place every time.

I wised up.

I live in Sheffield. I sometimes I work in Leeds, a city 1 hour's drive North.

One day I was driving to work and this particular winter's day the angle of the sun just right to be in my eyes. It was hard going squinting along the motorway (freeway).

After about 45 mimutes I was wondering why the sun was not usually like this...... why was I looking at the sun if I was going North.....?

I had driven to Derby. Had to turn around and go the Leeds. Ooops.

Some funny stories.
One day, arriving at work all bright eyed and bushy tailed, wondering why the front door was closed, I finally peeked into the lobby and noticed that it was 2 in the morning. Oh, and arriving at work in my fluffy slippers.
Now that I'm older, I tend to pay more attention.
