It's like the Japan deal where they admit that only 1-2% of investments will be from the government and the balance will be loans.

These countries (and blocs) are simply playing Trump so they can get the reduced tariff rates (which by the way were 0% or close to it when Trump came into office).
 
All The President is interested in, is the headline.

He stands there and with a straight face tells you that Middle Eastern Kingdoms are going to invest many, many many times their GDP in the United States with completely and totally fabricated numbers.

It also shows that many (like our Brexiters) don't really understand how the EU works and see it as a whole separate body of government that dictates and arranges policy decisions. Trump and Farage can sell the image of EU capitulation to easily fooled supporters 7 days in a week.

I'd throw Brexit supporters in that grouping too. Voting to punch yourself in the eye is unbelievably stupid but we might do that by putting Farage's Reform party into Govt.

That's an interesting comment. You can claim markets are open to your goods but if nobody buys them so what! Cars are a great example. Europeans won't buy American cars they simply don't work in Europe. However, now that Trump has made foreign made cars more competitive in the States who knows what Americans might choose. My guess is price.
 
I think when trump starts threatening people they should respond with full boycotts.
 


I wonder what the tariff of EU trucks will be. Before the deal it was at 25%, while for cars I believe it was 2.5%.
