Eric Holder to Resign As Attorney General, Official Says
Attorney General Eric Holder plans to announce Thursday that he will resign after nearly six years, a Justice Department official told NBC News.
Holder plans to stay on the job until a successor is confirmed, the official said.
So, he is stepping down the same day as this comes out?:
Judge Denies DOJ Request to Delay Release of Fast and Furious Document List
U.S. District Court Judge John D. Bates has denied a request from the Department of Justice to delay the release of a list of Operation Fast and Furious documents being protected under President Obama's assertion of executive privilege.

The Next A.G. should be nominated by the Speaker of the House, due to the conflict of interests in future A.G. investigations and prosecutions against Eric Holder and his co-Conspirators, including President Obama.

That is just about the single dumbest thing I have come across so far this week.
Good riddance.
Links are coming from all over.

No matter who takes Holder's place or what that person does he or she will face the same attacks from the right that Holder has endured.
Don't take my word for this, just wait and see.
On the contrary, I find your suggestion an example of an infection of democracy in the executive branch.
The attorney general is the President's post to pick, not the House. If you want such demagogic liberalism in the executive branch, I pity you.
The President has been a Co-Conspirator in illegal actions by the Last A.G..
The office of the A.G. must be responsible for the investigations into those violations of the law... so, the President must recuse himself from being involved in the next A.G. selection process.
The logical alternative person to make the nominations is the Speaker of the House.
If this were an issue about one of George Bush's Major Stock Ownership Oil Companies being under investigation, no one would question for a second that Dubya, while normally allowed to nominate the A.G. would have to fore go that option, because of the conflict of interest.
Well, the next A.G. will be investigating the President, so President Obama should not be allowed to be part of the process.
This has many, many, many presidents in America Law.

Then encourage the House to impeach or have the Senate put him on trial. Otherwise, you are advocating for removing more barriers between the democratic representatives (the House) and the authoritarian branch (the executive). I want to have an expressed limit on democracy in our government.
If Eric Holder, and his associates in the Executive Branch had not openly, blatantly, repeatedly, broken the LAW, we would not be here.
But we are!
And the Conflict of Interest in having President Obama be involved in the selection of the next A.G. is clear, obvious, and by legal president, he should recuse himself, or be FORCED by Congress, to be removed, from the selection process of the next A.G.
Otherwise, we will not have an open, fair, and just investigation into the abuses by A.G. Holder and his associates, including President Obama.
We have not done this before, simply because, No other American President has made this Necessary!

Either you follow our government or you don't. That's the rules, don't erode executive action.
whats more amazing is the scum media would know if Sarah Palin ate a corn muffin in 1970.. but had no idea of this scum radicals "past"
She ate a corn muffin?
Why has that not been on NPR? It's a conspiracy
Articles of Impeachment originate in Congress, specifically, from the Speaker of the House.
Effectively, the next A.G. is going to be working under a very strong likely hood of needing to investigate the President and his cabinet for crimes associated with, but not limited to the IRS abuse, Fast and Furious, Benghazi Lies, ObamaCare Lies, ObamaCare legislation modification...
Consequently, the same organization which is responsible for reviewing and deciding Impeachment of Obama should select the next A.G. to prevent a conflict of interest in the required investigations.

They dont love the US, never did.
I, like a lot of people, have a lot of contempt for Congress.
Exactly!
If your nomination authority is compromised by a Conflict of Interest, then following the rules means you recuse yourself from the activity, and let the next logical person in the Executive Chain of Command, in this case, the Speaker of the House, do the duty of the Nomination instead!
We saw this in the SCOTUS recently, when one of the Justices Recused themselves in a case which they had participated in presenting to the court a few years early.
