Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm held ownership interests in an electric vehicle company. If you are wondering why she might be so reluctant to pursue the exploration of new oil reserves to help our oil situation and our dependency on Russian oil, then read this.

Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm violated a stock disclosure law nine times last year

  • Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm sold shares of stock nine times last year and did not disclose the sales within the legally required 45-day window, according to federal disclosure documents.
  • The sales ranged from April to late October, but Granholm did not disclose any of them until mid-December, after the deadlines had passed.
  • A spokeswoman for Granholm said that the late disclosures were the fault of a “clerical error” and that the secretary had paid a late filing fee.

  • House Republicans are pressing Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm on how she is abiding by the STOCK Act. In a letter to the secretary, House Oversight and Reform Committee ranking member James Comer and other Republicans raise concerns about her transparency about stocks she owned and subsequently sold. The STOCK Act requires political appointees and others to report stock trades within 45 days of the transactions. The lawmakers say Granholm failed to meet the requirements of the law in April and now wants all documents related to the selling of her stock of Proterra, an electric vehicle company.

I guarantee this is just the tip of the iceberg.

I also guarantee that no liberals or democrats are interested in this thread.

...except to scream about Trump.

Investing in green energy is smart. There is no better way to reduce the power and influence of foreign oil dictatorships.

And the US is already energy independent and the Biden administration is handing out drilling permits left and right with few of them actually being used by oil companies. It is US oil companies who are driving down production in order to drive up oil prices for profit. Exploring for new oil reserves is putting the cart before the horse. Why do you need new oil reserve exploration when oil companies won't even access the oil they currently have drilling rights for?

Congressional insider trading rules are like the least-enforced thing in the entire country. I bet if you started jailing them for it there would be a lot fewer "clerical errors."

You always end up working in my favor, Deuce.

See you then.
I criticized the Democrat harder than you did. Checkmate.

Or a lot fewer corrupt politicians...a good thing.

No one wants to hear facts. They want to scream bad liberals.

Does she actually own an electric vehicle?
Who in the Biden administration own an electric vehicle?
When will Biden's motorcade change their fleet to electric vehicles?
Come on Joe, lead by example.

Kerry owns or has owned 5 houses (of course one is on Martha's Vineyard- -not concerned about the rising water), a number of cars, a yacht and a private jet.
My mistake, it's Kerry's wife that owns most of this stiff. I guess he is not allowed to use any of it.
You better make sure your carbon footprint is low. Go buy an electric vehicle and shut up.
