2 Corinthians 4:8-9 We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9. persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. This scripture is part of a letter written by Paul the apostle about 55 AD to the Christian church in Corinth. In it Paul mentions the difficulties and the blessings experienced by him in serving the Lord. After being called by Christ, Paul endured many things for the Gospel. They included shipwrecks, beatings, stonings, prison and other things that most of us wouldn't put up with. But Paul considered these things to be blessings while preaching the Gospel of Christ. Today all over the world some that serve the Lord endure things from bad verbal comments to those experienced by Paul. God tells us in the Bible that things like this won't last. As is written in 2 Corinthians 4:18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. Some of the people that preach Jesus Christ and serve him suffer for it just as Christ served and suffered for us. Christ paid for all our sins on the cross. He did this so we all could have forgiveness from our sins and one day live with him in his heavenly kingdom forever. [Link removed.]
