Republicans were kind enough to furnish Democrats with a list of possible investigations they could start:
- President Trump’s tax returns
- Trump family businesses — and whether they comply with the Constitution's emoluments clause, including the Chinese trademark grant to the Trump Organization
- Trump's dealings with Russia, including the president's preparation for his meeting with Vladimir Putin
- The payment to Stephanie Clifford — a.k.a. Stormy Daniels
- James Comey's firing
- Trump's firing of U.S. attorneys
- Trump's proposed transgender ban for the military
- Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin's business dealings
- White House staff's personal email use
- Cabinet secretary travel, office expenses, and other misused perks
- Discussion of classified information at Mar-a-Lago
- Jared Kushner's ethics law compliance
- Dismissal of members of the EPA board of scientific counselors
- The travel ban
- Family separation policy
- Hurricane response in Puerto Rico
- Election security and hacking attempts
- White House security clearances

Add to that an investigation into the President's decision to assign Whitaker to the AG and the White House's directives to the FBI while they were doing the second background check into Kavanaugh.
Checks and balances are a bitch.
Hmmm...
1. President Trump’s tax returns.
NON-ISSUE except among conspiracy theorists on the Left. His Tax returns are reviewed by the IRS. Citizens have no "need to know" any more then we do of each other's.
Trump family businesses — and whether they comply with the Constitution's emoluments clause, including the Chinese trademark grant to the Trump Organization. FAKE ISSUE. No past President has even been required to give up his businesses. In fact most early Presidents kept their businesses going while in office. If any of Trump's businesses already had active business agreement's with foreign companies/governments, then the Left would have to PROVE subsequent advantages solely due to Trump holding office.
2. Trump's dealings with Russia, including the president's preparation for his meeting with Vladimir Putin.
FAKE ISSUE. Tied to the ridiculous "Russian collusion" narrative spun by the childish members of the Left who refuse to accept the results of an election they expected to win.
3. The payment to Stephanie Clifford — a.k.a. Stormy Daniels.
MINOR ISSUE if an issue at all. The Left is trying to push a non-disclosure agreement, the latest in a long history for Trump, as some sort of campaign finance violation. At best this will be dismissed. At worst, a relatively small fine.
4. James Comey's firing.
FAKE ISSUE. The President had both the authority and the right to discharge Comey. The Left want's to play this as some kind of obstruction. However, Comey's own history shows Trump was right to get rid of him.
5. Trump's firing of U.S. attorneys.
NON-ISSUE. The President has the power and authority to hire and fire Federal Executive Branch appointees at-will.
6. Trump's proposed transgender ban for the military.
SJW Appeal to Emotion issue. The President is the Commander-in-Chief and per Title 32 CFR can determine with the advice of the Joint Chiefs of Staff military regulations for qualification.
7. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin's business dealings.
ISSUE. Secretary Mnuchin should be investigated.
8. White House staff's personal email use. (Can't Address, I have no knowledge of this.)
9, 10, 11. Cabinet secretary travel, office expenses, and other misused perks. NON-ISSUE. The I.G., G.A.O., and OMB can investigate any such issues.
12. Discussion of classified information at Mar-a-Lago.
NON-ISSUE. The President being the final arbiter of what is secret or not may choose to discuss whatever he wishes with whomever he wishes.
13. Dismissal of members of the EPA board of scientific counselors; [*] The travel ban, [*] Family separation policy.
NON-ISSUES. All three perfectly within the President's authority
14. Jared Kushner's ethics law compliance. (Can't Address, I have no knowledge of this.)
15. Hurricane response in Puerto Rico.
FAKE ISSUE. The President and the appropriate agencies did what they were supposed to do.
16. Election security and hacking attempts.
NON-ISSUE. Nothing to do with Trump.
17. White House security clearances.
NON-ISSUE. Completely within the authority of the President and his designated staff representatives.
