Down right disgusting. If parents signed a waiver fine but why would they do something like that? Probably opt in to strapping mask on their kids faces too

A school board member in Florida is being criticized after saying she was "honored" to chaperone a group of elementary school students on a field trip to a gay bar.

Broward County School Board member Sarah Leonardi said she took the children of Wilton Manors Elementary School to Rosie's Bar & Grill on what appeared to be an annual field trip, according to a Wednesday social media post by Leonardi.

Why hold to the standards of the Washington Examiner? (Yes, that was a joke). The Daily Mail has pics.

And...as usual, here come the death threats. It's a busy, friendly, neighborhood restaurant within walking distance of the school where the kids do some math, learn about working in a restaurant and have a meal off the kid's menu. They've been visiting Rosie's for ten years, and I'm sure every student there had signed permission slips from their parents (and probably the money for the meal). I wish some of those parents would speak up to the haters who are sending death threats to the school board member who chaperoned.

I'm sure the kids had a fun time.

The reaction here is heartbreaking.

I think its a stupid and harmful field trip.

The attached link is from Yahoo News

It's from Washington Examiner. Yahoo haven't even taken the trouble to remove "The Washington Examiner is not posting the photos out of respect for the underage children" from the copy.

Given the reputation of both sources, I didn't really believe it until I saw the pics on Daily Mail.

Why? I looked it up on a few fb and review sites; it's primarily a restaurant with a fun island vibe and it gets high marks for friendly service and good food. It's not a den of iniquity with drunken men in drag rolling on the floor.

We're assuming the usual clientele are encouraged to go elsewhere, on children's day.

Do Gay people scare you?

Sometimes the bigotry just comes out like vomit.

What's the matter with the clientele?

The place opens at 11 am, and I'm guessing the kids arrive a little earlier than that, since having a crowd of little kids in the kitchen when they're filling orders would be impossible. I doubt if most of the clientele is getting rip roaring drunk at 11 am, either.

Teaching with real life examples is the stuff that sticks. And I don't mean teaching about gay, which is probably what some people are imagining. They probably didn't even notice if a lot of the customers were men. So what? It's people eating lunch.

It's funny to hear liberals here say this is fine. Can you imagine their outrage if the kids went somewhere that was conservative based. They'd be calling for George Floyd style riots. Burn buildings. Assauit police. Smash windows. Sreal everything in sight.

Yep, just like the Flinstones. They had a gay old time.
And if the student said anything bad about the trip they were probably punished.
Don't dare go against your indoctrination.
Do gay people frighten you?

Are they afraid of gay people in Russia?

So are you disgusted with the parents or...?

Would you be frightened of the preacher if the school forced your kids to go to church?
If the parents signed a waiver I'd be OK with it.

Liar. You'd say school and church should not be connected in any way possible.
Well, they shouldn't, but I leave it up to the parents.

Oh, and btw, calling people "liar" is not allowed on here.
