Electric cars, good for the environment or good for Biden crime family!

Oh please if you want to blame someone for our reliance on China there is plenty of blame to go around.

Heck this republican president was the first one to open the Chinese market to the U.S.

Simply put, we know the Covid virus came from a lab in Wuhan, China......they lied and attempted to cover it up......the Biden administration does nothing. Trump was right all along, but China Joe is bought and paid for and is actively helping the CCP. Remember how the left and msm and Big Tech censored all voices on this truth.....the American People are waking up!!!

"Reasonable person" doesnt apply to most green energy leftists. Certainly doesnt apply to the crop of clowns currently in Congress.
Green energy leftists and coal energy righties are idiots. You’d be an idiot if you listen to any one of them. The only ones with actual know-how are the engineers working on those 7%-per-year improvements.
The US will embrace electric cars when 1-the price is affordable for lower income individuals, 2-The vehicles do what gas vehicles can do, and 3-When the electric cars dont need to be fueled by fossil fuel generated electricity.
Wrong on all three. It’s remarkable people keep hewing to these same silly ideas when proven wrong over and over again. People didn’t adopt cars when they could do everything a horse could (they still can’t). People didn’t adopt smart phones when they could do everything a flip phone could. (They still can’t). And heck, look at smart phones - everyone has one, even the poor. EV’s don’t need to do everything an ICE does. They just need to do enough things better to offset the disadvantages. You know, LIKE EVERY OTHER NEW TECHNOLOGY.
Before you can speak of inevitability, you have to first demonstrate viability. Europe has been at the green energy game for longer and are now firing up the coal plants again because the green energy isnt cutting it.
Guess what, they’re firing up more renewables as well. It’s called “transition.” 30 years from now when 95%+ of new generation coming online is clean, there still will be the occasional coal plant opening and the suckers who have to live near it. That’s life. Doesn’t mean the transition didn’t happen.

No one ever said we could do this overnight. New battery technology is coming out every day. It's called research. In the meantime, we work with what we have.
Speaking of which, the Lamborghini Sian (been out there for a couple years already) uses dry Supercapacitors. Whole new ballgame, that is not subject to the degradation of chemically reactive wet batteries, or the raw materials they are made from. Tesla is working on an Iron based battery, and the new prototype Tesla van has sufficient roof area to make a vehicle-mounted solar panel viable.

The latest eVehicle and battery technology is fascinating; hard to believe so many people are against where we will all be in just a few years. I prefer to be knowledgeable and understand what I'm asserting like the AntiDon and the growing population of intelligent forward thinkers, rather than latching onto technological archeology, and tired and stale talking points just to spur an argument.

The problem is those 'idiots' are writing policy and passing laws, and spending your grandchildren into oblivion over a philosophy that is not viable.

30 years from now, leftists will shrill be shrieking that there is only 10 years to save the planet and we have to have MOAR green energy.

SOME people have realized that nuclear energy is going to be required if we are going to be fully free from coal and oil...but unless they find and develop a better and more effective energy source, 30 years from n ow we are still going to be dependent on fossil fuels for energy generation.

It really is amazing being opposed to technology. Were there people opposed to the Apollo program? I don't remember any.

Anyway, I'll add that clean technology extends to the manufacturing process as well. The batteries at the Tesla Gigafactory in Nevada are produced using 100% renewable energy. They are located in a huge industrial park. Abundant wind, solar and some geothermal resources available. It's the wave of the future.

I'll edit that to proposed 100% renewable energy use by Tesla. There is news, though.

Tesla Gigafactory will be covered in solar panels by end of 2022

You lost me with "China Joe." I already know you've fallen prey to right wing propaganda and talking points. You're dismissed.

It's inevitable people will resist change. Someone once said going more than 20 mph in vehicle would cause brain damage. And others said flying was impossible. The big change it they are making it political this time around.

Care to address my post or just go off in the la la land of a partisan hack?

"Electric cars, good for the environment or good for Biden crime family!"

Piffle & drivel from the Rabid Right.

It's high-time the world turned away from the present usage of internal-combustion engines to propel cars and trucks (and whatever). We are spoiling the air that we as well as our children breath.

The facts are all there in abundance collected by various scientific studies regarding air-pollution on earth.

From the World Health Organization (WHO) here:

Key findings: WHO estimates that around 90% of people worldwide breathe polluted air. Over the past 6 years, ambient air pollution levels have remained high and approximately stable, with declining concentrations in some part of Europe and in the Americas. (May 2, 2018)

You may not want to believe such negative reports regarding poor general-air-quality in America (and Europe), but that will not make them go away ...

Looks like the Biden mafia is in for a cut of the action as ole Joe forces America into e cars. He and China are thick as thieves.

"The New York Times reported Saturday that Hunter Biden was part owner in an investment firm that was involved in a Chinese conglomerate's $3.8 billion purchase of one of the world's largest cobalt deposits in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Biden's spending package passed the House on Friday night and it plans to give away $320 billion in tax credits for companies or consumers who buy electric vehicles,"

"Cobalt mines are pivotal to China's world dominance in making batteries for those electric vehicles the Build Back Better Plan and Democrats are effectively hoisting on the American people through U.S. taxpayer dollars and government subsidies."

See this about Congo. Hint, China's involved there as well:
And now this: Hunt for the ‘Blood Diamond of Batteries’ Impedes Green Energy Push (link to title). Excerpt:
New York Times said:
Batteries containing cobalt reduce overheating in electric cars and extend their range, but the metal has become known as “the blood diamond of batteries” because of its high price and the perilous conditions in Congo, the largest producer of cobalt in the world. As a result, carmakers concerned about consumer blowback are rapidly moving to find alternatives to the element in electric vehicles, and they are increasingly looking to other nations with smaller reserves as possible suppliers.
There is a chance that Congo’s role in the emerging economy could be diminished if it fails to confront human-rights issues in its mines. And even if Mr. Yuma works to resolve those problems, as he has pledged to do, it still may not be enough for new American investors who want to be assured the country has taken steps to curb a history of mining-industry corruption.
Let's Go Brandon!
