june 7, 2010- Al Sharq Al Awsat reports Hamas lawmaker Jamal al Khzri turns down Iranian pledges to escort relief supply shipment to Palestine.

Guess you missed the Nov 22, 2012 AP quote where after thanking Iran for support Khaled Mesheel went on to clarify there are, "Disagreements on the situation in Syria."

Hamas is no more beholden to Iran than the Vietnamese were to Chinese after Saigon fell. The rockets and training are drops in a bucket compared to the support Sunni Governments make every day. It is like saying because I own a few shares of AT&T I have a say in how the business giant is run.

The support Iran gave Hamas pales in comparison to the massive support Iran gave to Hezzbollah in Lebanon. See things go south for Sunni rebels in Syria and see the end of the small trickle of Support Iran gives Hamas in Gaza.

Oh so the quote I cite is 'random' is it??? :doh

What Hamas is and will always be leery of is Iranian influence in Gaza as it is next door to Egypt the true Hamas supporter.

Supplies 'lots and proudly' the proudly I get, the 'lots' needs a bit more fleshing out....

Now given Hamas in Gaza had just survived a rather intense confrontation with Israel and came out a lot better than I figured they would, bet Hamas was surprised as well, I can see why there would be lots of hearty thank yous for whatever support Iran gave, but don't forget Hamas gave Egypt lots of high praise as well.

I can see those who are disappointed in how the clash turned out looking for 'reasons' and Iranian support sure fits the current meme, how ever 'lots of support' is drops in the sand compared to hezzbollah and just watch how warm the relationship is if 4000 'volunteers' from Iran move on Sunni Rebels in Syria.

But once again world wide Sunni terrorism doesn't need a state or 'homeland' to carry out terror attacks around the world. The Israeli/Palestinian poisoned well is rather unique and confined to that one small area and not the template for world wide terror.

But keep on, it is interesting to see how much of the Iranian for public view propaganda is so easily absorbed...
